After having her 10th son, the goddess of war Sungjuk, needing a daughter to inherit her duties, is angry against Chungil, the goddess of fertility. Chungil then decides to bless her newborn, Sungbyuk, making him able to "play the role of a daughter".
A few centuries later, Songbyuk is now a feminine and notorious general with many victories under his belt. However, he is also in love with Chungsan, who is Chungil's son, going as far as to propose despite their mothers' feud. At first, Chungsan rejects Songbyuk, but their relationship becomes more and more complicated as Chungsan is haunted by dire premonitions, and with their mothers interfering.
