The story starts very quickly and jumps around introducing characters without giving us time to get acquainted with them. And worse yet, the author doesn't care much for the reader. She introduces people and new story elements and then in the next chapter everything you know has been turned upside down without so much as a warning. In the end, it was all so irritating that I hoped all the characters would just meet horrible end. Keep away from this manga and save yourself some time, seriously.
The art was good but I agree that the story jumped around a bit to much and left one at times with a feeling of confusion. Was it on purpose? Was it not? The world may never know.
I read the entire story to see if it improved and I have to say, it did not... (no offense, avid fans)...
The art was good but I felt the story was jumpy and confusing...Not one of the best out there but if you're looking for a fantasy manga with historical plots, this is for you...
the artwork is incredibly detailed, costume designs, jewelry, scenery--all of it is very beautiful
the story itself is really interesting.. the way the story is told however is a little confusing and lacks a steady flow and direction
after reading the series.. i feel like i've missed something..
the ending is satisfactory
beautifully drawn.. not so beautifully written =/
Detailed and beautiful art... the characters especially are beautifully designed and drawn. The story starts out well with an interesting mystery but by the end unravels. There is no tightly woven closure of the story line, which is unfortunate since the premise of the story is rather interesting.
In sum, its worth reading for the beautiful art or if you have nothing else to read, but story-wise, you're not missing much if you don't read it.
