i really really love the battles and the monsters. i think sensei made a great job in fleshing out every little detail for the monsters since they look very suitable with the power they have.
however, the same cannot be said about the characters. they are painfully one dimensional, and poorly thought out of. they are there just as a vehicle to parade the monsters. one of the girls, kuran, start off as a 16 year old girl that despise being called a kid, but then as time progress she become more and more childlike in her behaviour, going so far as wearing elementary school kid's bathing suit and ride on someone's shoulder to watch a children's play. the mangaka must have realize too late loli fanservice need to have the loli acting like one. and others are just as bad, with the generic childhood sweetheart wanting to do everything for mc and vice versa.
but still, i like this manga. the fights are bloody and everyone can die. it's been a while since i saw a toddler being stomped to death. the plot is intriguing, i really do want to know the origin of these monsters and how do these people get them. the ending is kinda a cop-out, but i hope it will be resolved on the second series.
all in all, read this for the battles, just dont expect to root for anyone.

This is what Yu-Gi-Oh! should've been. Real monsters, real gore (lots of real gore), real Fanservice... giggity...<===all of this means 4kids wouldn't have touched it.
Shame it was Discontinued, This had A LOT of potential.

When you start to read this, u think "Isn't this like Yu-gi-oh?". Sorry, this is not because of the pure gore that this manga presents. Lots of blood, flying body parts, inhuman characters to the point that i'm surprised that this ran in a shounen magazine. Anyway, i found it pretty good and it kept me interested to see who gets pawned next. Too bad it was discontinued, i would have loved to see more.

I'd say that I'm a fan. It's got a good rhythm and I never lost interest. It did shift from being horror to a more generic action series as it went but that was alright. It still did horror things. It's more the main characters didn't have the suck that they usually need for a horror series.
It has a lack of ending, which hurts it. But that's not a big deal. Seriously though the last chapter basically set up for another arc after they wrapped up most of the antagonist so it just felt out of place.

It was really interesting story and I`d like to see how it develops further on. A pity it`s no longer being translated. The art was quite good as well.

It's too bad the group hasn't been able to do anymore. Hopefully translations will continue someday.
