1 word sums this up for me "cringe". Why does everybody who writes and ignorant MC make them either self-deprecating, or a plot device to make bad situations? It makes them annoying and cringe.
Torima is the only one who got the formula right by make his ignorant characters socially awkward, everything that came from that was pure comedy. Why can't any other writers get seem to get this right?

This is a really good manga, but I'd say that what's impressed me the most about this is the art. They have a very good understanding of when to use complex designs and drawings and when to simplify things, they manage to weave both styles together successfully, and they actually use the art to support and enhance the narrative. It's pretty impressive.

This isn't to say that other parts of this are lacking, I was simply struck by the art in particular and decided to write a review about it. The humor and stuff like that is good too.

It's a story about this ignorant boy who happens to be the weakest of a village full of heroes' descendants(this village only interferes in stuff like kicking back the demon king or helping with natural disasters). This means he's f*cking super OP but doesn't realize it, instead thinking that he's that kid who can't compare to anyone and just sucks. This gives him a rather... charming and adorable personality? yeah, that's probably the correct words.

Everyone around him is either in disbelief and finding explanations for why something happened, like, he'll make it rain and they think he can just read the weather, he minces a super tough layered iron practice dummy and they credit it to the one who went before him because they couldn't see the mc's moves as they're not OP enough and on a written test when they ask him to write the spell for "fireball" he uses ancient runes(extremely rare and hard stuff) that makes them think he's scribbling because of their own lack of knowledge.

Meanwhile, the ones who actually realize it are scared out of their minds. Then there's the spoiled and selfish lolibaba(head of his village) and other characters like the yandere(kind of) girl who's fallen hard for the mc etc. So, we have a mc that does all kinds of crazy sh*t while thinking it's just normal or even below what other people does and crazy characters all around him.

I actually really liked this manga. It has a nice mood and is actually quite funny. I was just sad about there only being 4 chapters out currently(which is about 1 manga volume in length, 180 or so pages). I downloaded the 13 raw chapters and read them to the best of my abilities, it's just that I can't enjoy it as much as I should when I'm trying to figure out the unfamiliar words and translating takes a long time. But that I even cared enough to do so in the first place shows just how much I liked it. I can only say this, it's surprisingly good. I didn't expect it to be this good and it doesn't seem to be good looking at the description and beginning of the first chapter but it's pretty great if you're into this stuff. At least give it a chapter or two before deciding whether or not you like it. It surprised me so it might be able to surprise you too.
