brilliant? This time we get a character that is severely struggling with their emergence and the conflicting emotions that come with it. I do like how the Mangaka gives the mc's in this series a slightly dark backstory that kinda defines/explains how the were acting before, during and after they emerge.

Overall I quite enjoyed the story - always been a fan of the gender transformation plots. The characters are likeable and the topic of suddenly becoming the opposite gender was dealt with quite well.
I did have a problem though with how pathetic the mangaka made girls seem. The scene where it is implied the main character can no longer perform a backflip because she's so weak was ridiculous. True guys (though not all) are in general stronger but not by that kind of amount. The 'weak' card was played a little too unrealistically for my liking. 'Oh no, I'm a girl. Now I'm completely useless and will have to do stuff like cooking.' Um, I don't think so.
For this reason I decided to give up on reading the rest. Disappointing really as it was shaping up to be a good manga.

It's brillyantly done and the art is gorges but the plot is pure horror - imagine in one day all your life and your dreames are brocen and you have to strart a knew - no only in life but in a new body. Starting to like things you hated and to hate things you liked....
Love it

Chapter 1 only:
I was super fond of the first one (I mean like, crying through the last chapter level of super fond), and this is shaping up to be even more fun. Even with just one chapter, so much potential drama has been set up, and the character has potential. Starting with a younger person (14) will making things interesting as well. It's not as unusual to emerge at that age than it is for the character in the first series (who changed at 17), but you've also got a character who doesn't have the stability of a best friend or a background of self-assurance (at a cost).
Sagara, MC, is an angry little boy who doesn't appreciate being mocked for his height (lack of) or his looks (too girly even pre-emergence), and he let out his anger through physical violence. Emergence weakens the body (and, in-world, so does simply being female...I'll have to mention this to all the guys I beat the crud out of in middle and high school...give them a real dose of ego, that), so that makes her usual fix-all of punching things, if not impossible, certainly more difficult.
Mamiya, the emerged character from the original, doesn't change so much in personality. He was a fighter, but in a competitive sense. She easily switched that spirit of fighting from more physical things into more mental things like school work and majong. With Sagara, it's not going to be quite as easy, I expect. Because he was mocked for his lack of masculinity, much of his character is built around shoving what he can of his masculinity (in this case, his strength) down the throat of the students who bullied him. Now, she is what she most feared, so she's going to have to seriously come to terms with that, and that story might very well be more interesting than the original.

It's another cute story from Ogura Akane-sensei. This is by far my most favorite of all her works. The story is interesting and sweet. The characters are lovable and endearing. I'm hoping for this series to span to more volumes. The plot is good and the storyline can go beyond several volumes. Please support this manga so sensei can continue this series. I want this to be longer than it's related series entitled "Kanojo ni Naru Hi".
I really truly love this series.. It's not cliche and truly tugs your heartstrings. I say it's a gem!!!! >.<

After ch.1:
I've read Kanojo ni Naru Hi and I really liked it... It's an interesting concept, it's a bit different from typical shoujo...and I just like Ogura Akane's work, because she's not afraid to do even some more intense scenes or topics (I mean it's not all just "cute shoujo stuff")
So in general... I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter ^^
