Angelina, the Saintess of Warding, is one of a number of saitesses in the kingdom, yet while all the other saitesses are revered and loved, noone in this perfectly peaceful country seems to value her powers of "warding off evil", calling her useless and a creepy witch due to her black hair. When her fiancé breaks off their engagement to be with the famous Saitess of Healing instead, Angelina decides she's finally had enough. Why should she protect a kingdom that hates her? So she packs her things and sets out on a journey to find new meaning and maybe even love.
