i love uncommon MLs like this (not your handsome, popular ML who is surrounded by high school girls). However, i can't feel the chemistry between him and our FML. This might not be for me

This story starts with our hero working on a flower shop with his mom. A 27 year old man with 0 experience in romance. The reason being his scary ass face. His eyes and a combination of his face and hair has led to him having a scary appearance. So imagine his surprise when a repeat customer confesses to him. A 20 year old college student. Finding her adorable and amazing, they both start a relationship together.

Now i really adored this series. The main character and main heroine are both just adorkable love birds and it was so endearing to watch them. They were both like balls of light. Shining everywhere they go. I do love me some juicy drama but this series shows that you don't need pointless drama or love triangles to make a series interesting and enjoyable.

The characters romantic interactions especially were just amazing. They were cute, they were cuddly and the author had balls to not extend every little thing. You had antisocial adults acting like antisocial adults, rather than children. I don't want to say this was like a breath of fresh air or something because series like these exist everywhere. But the main difference is this series doesn't try to go for something big. It works with what it has and it does it so well.

This is also one of the few series that deserves the romcom genere. Because this one is actually funny. One of the few romcoms that made me legitimately laugh like Kenneth Copeland after the election. Really funny series.

The only real criticism i have of this series, is the introduction of the side characters. Both of them were pretty annoying at first. You'll know who they are. They were pretty generic in an annoying way. But they really do grow on you. So i'm glad the author can make fun characters while making their personality somewhat annoying. It just goes to show that making decent characters goes a long way. Though i did not like them at first im still glad the author introduced them. Both of them were pretty enjoyable to watch.

I don't really have anything else to say about this. This series understands exactly what its doing and does it with pleasure. The author knows what the audience wants and gives it to us full force. What else can i say except that you are missing out on this series.

TLDR: My parents told me to stop smiling like a fucking weirdo. Thats how fluffy this series is. It may not be as good as knack but its still something really special. Something i believe everyone should check out at least once. When you have a formula this good just give us more. 7/10

Wholesome Romance

This was really sweet to read, finally a longer relationship progression without much drama. We'll see a lot of individual development, leaning on coming of age but still very typically shoujo. Though the characters a cliche, they all have a specific twist that give off a refreshing vibe, you'll also come to love the side characters. The pacing is slow once in a while, but it whas a wholesome read.

Usually I’d be put off by a shoujo, thinking it would include all of the typical clichés (love triangles, slow romance, etc), but this is one of the best shoujo’s I have read! The only clichés it has are those tagged in the category section as well as the fact it likes to repeat the fact that he is “meant to look scary”. He’s really sweet both personality and looks, in my opinion. I’d recommend it for any romance fan, even though the scans are ongoing. It’s nice to know the series itself is completed. I would definitely get this series if it were licensed in English!

Incredibly sweet and surprisingly soft

I love this manga. To be fair, I'm a big fan of slice of life as it is, but this one is one of my favorites. It feels very adult--not in the steamy sense, but in the way the characters think, talk, and react.They both have surprisingly mature perspectives on life and happiness, which is both the hallmark and pot-of-gold of a great SoL manga. Both MCs are misunderstood for their looks (but in opposite ways), and both truly like each other for pure, genuine, and honest reasons. Hanazono is a darling, a sweetheart, and incredibly precious, and you can't help but cheer for him at every step. As a veteran of SoL genre, if you're looking for something deceptively simple but rich in sweetness and meaning, I strongly recommend reading this manga.

I've read the raws and I tell you that this is your atypical shoujo!!!!
This is amazing!!! The art, the story and everything...
There are no cringe-worthy moments and they break the stereotypical cliches that I sometimes expect in a given situation!!!

What I really like are how the characters are well developed!!!!

The male MC is not just kind but has quite the character... I thought he was timid at first but can be quite dependable when the situation arises..:
-The female MC is very likeable!!!
She isn't the stereotypical moe sobbing mess...
She is honest and straight forward with her feelings and doesn't shy away if she wants to get close with the boyfriend...
-The Mother of the male MC is funny and laid back... I really like her type...

I have nothing else to say but read it!!!!
And I do not hand out praises easily but this manga is totally worth it!!!
