I've never felt the need to leave a comment before, because there was never a story I hated or loved enough to bother. But this one… First, they totally emasculated the guy. He was supposed to become the strongest person, but when he was finally regaining his powers, she touched his wrist and poof... gone. I thought maybe it was done to avoid power creep. Strange for a Chinese manhua, but fine, I could live with that.
I told myself, "He’s not about the brawl; he’s the smartest human, forged in the fire of struggle. He’s patient, intelligent, clever, he’ll predict every enemy move and overcome any problem." But it happened only once! And even then, it was underwhelming: the enemy walked scot-free without any consequence, despite committing a major crime in both worlds. I said to myself, "It’s fine, he’s just avoiding creating heat for himself. He’ll do something once it’s safe." But he never does!
Later, he gets manhandled by his fiancée, then again by her bodyguard. He starts to grow stronger, but then stops. Why? He needs that strength to overcome every problem he faces. At one point, he gets poisoned and need to visit a doctor in the way they get in trouble, and I thought, "Finally, he’s proving himself." But no, out of nowhere, his fiancée suddenly becomes a strategic genius, overcoming a trap she would’ve fallen into just a few chapters earlier, and she takes the spotlight in his supposed specialty.
Then he gets manhandled again by the smallest girl, tortured in what turns into some soft porn male domination scene. That’s when I couldn’t take it anymore.
The narration is mid, the pacing is boring, and the execution is disgusting. I kept reading up to this point because the story had potential, but I just couldn’t take it any longer.
