It pains me to give this a 4/10 cause it had the hallmarks of being at least a 7/10. The first problem is the manga is all about the inside is more important then the outside. The MC and the Gorilla girl are ugly outwardly but inwards they are beautiful. This is ruined when the MC is isekaied and becomes super hot and the Gorilla girl when the MC eventually falls for her transforms into a super hot girl..... Thanks for that plot ruination.

I read somewhere this was supposed to be parody? But it plays out like actual Isekais these days so it's too late on the train and the parody has thus become standard. Because of the drop in quality is why it gets a 4/10 and that drop was both story and characterisation which takes sledge hammer hits specially post starting forrest arc.

Story- Overlooking a couple of things, the story was doing pretty well though the early chapters. However, once the mc left where he was original living, the story (you can find shinka no mi on this site) became ridiculously stupid. I could not believe how much the story change in just a few chapters. Maybe it was supposed to add some humor, with it was over done. After those chapters, I had to drop the series.

Characters- I actually liked the main character at the beginning. His life has been crappy and he was still positive and kept a sense of humor. I figured spending months in the forest, defeating several monsters stronger than him, and acquiring cheat skills. I figured he was going to keep on progressing, but for some reason he regressed after leaving the forest. He was intimidated by a few thugs. The female character also seem to regress, at least her feeling for the mc.

Enjoyment- I was enjoying reading the story, but after the introduction of the guild, I felt like I was robbed of my time spent reading the beginning. I am going to skip most of the story until he meets up with his classmates.

Overall- I heard that the mc does some incredible achievements further into the story, but the latest English translated chapters put a bad taste in my mouth.
