The beginning was really confusing, it condensed down the events that led to Takumi and Gui's relationship to deepen. Which means that we get instalove by page 6 without me falling with them. Too much telling + confusing glimpses versus playing it out and showing us that build-up. Maybe it's better in the novel.
One thing I noticed was that the sound effects and little texts weren't translated. :/ They really add something to a story for me.
Despite that, if I happened across the sequels, I might be curious enough to read them because the notes at the end mention two characters I'm curious about.
I actually really liked the chapter where Akaike spent the night at Gui's house, it was cute and funny. Their friendship is nice, and I liked Namiko's conversation with Gui.

I was REALLY conflicted by the scene were Gui 'cured Takumi's rape trauma by raping him'. Doesn't matter if Takumi got into it by the end. In fiction they can get by with that, but if a friend of mine ever told me that someone, lover or not, forced themselves on them to 'get them over' their trauma, I'd be so pissed. But whatever, the author created them, not me, and rape=healing love prevails.

Ah, situational homosexuality. It's fun and great for making everyone-is-gay shounen-ai seem slightly more plausible.
But what do I care about plausibility? This series is good clean fun along the lines of Only the Ring Finger Knows, and I'm loving it.
What I don't get is why the author decided to sum up all the interesting parts of the story (culture shock, unrequited love, confession, intrigue, girly-boy knife fight) in a choppy 18-page prologue and then spend the rest of the series detailing the boring everyday lives of a situationally gay couple, but I like it.
