Don't be fooled by the cover, at first I was afraid it would become typical simp becomes a murderer but it wasn't that edgy. It had more heart and you learn to love some of the characters and feel bad for them. It really turned out to be a tragedy but thankfully it doesn't stop there. All I can say is if you're looking for something a little dark, a little bit of drama and romance then this is the story for you.
The female lead turned out better than I expected and the male lead improves as a character.

It's very good. But not a light read. Trigger warnings galore.

Update:

The series was good and as the story went on, though, it became less exceptional. The ending was ambigous and placed more importance on the leads' feelings of their lack of choice and their duress then on optional people or orgs to go to for help. (Wish they had mentioned places to go at the end, otherwise it feels like triggers for no reason but entertainment. -nothing super wrong with that tho)

It gives me the feels of Aku no Hana & You sometimes, and then I feel like it justly its own category. The characters are in horrible situations, making bad decisions, but sometimes they are the best ones they know how to make. Then, othertimes, they are just making decisions to see others fall.
