STORY - Is 3rd rate typical isekai but they just turned ML virgin SIMP from the start and FL maybe a former prostitute tried the escape 101 player that was to avoid both OG leads but her habits got the best of her and soon she found her in bed again but it was with OG ML idk how author created the characters but they were bland and pretty trashy tbh.

CHARACTER - As mentioned above ML a SIMP, FL was a selfish prostitute (I think)
Mobs are not that clear and don't have much importance.

A last resort gutter read timepass maybe but not enjoyable go read The Villain's Savior or something else with more depth.

honestly, i reviewed this upon my 3rd re-reading cause I just can't seem to get past Chapter 10, but i guess the third time is a charm.

FL is mature, humble and has interesting personality, while ML is a puppy-boy with a sad backstory. I guess the plot execution got better after Chapter 20 as it hooked me with the pacing right then. Though this would have been better if I read it in its peak time, but the plot is uncommon with her taking over as the new FL and winning the hearts of the og story's love interest (and the og FL herself). The communication and relationships between the characters are enjoyable enough to keep going. Their intimacy is good as well. No over-the-top comedic expressions, so the light comedy is fun.

i've seen sexually active leads (that are not smut), but this have a lot of impliedly intimate scenes. also, FL is not annoying on being insistent and pushy that ML will go to OG FL (i'm actually surprised the OG FL didn't have a lot of screentime), she accepted and was willing to fight for her love so there was no unnecessary fight between the two ladies.

I also liked how they didn't go heavy on politics (emperor has no brain anyway) and they just pulled out the bad root of the empire, which didn't involve thousand deaths of the innocents.

ART ALSO IMPROVED OVER TIME. I wasn't attracted to the ML during the first chapters, but the side stories were an eye candy. The side stories were commendable too as they featured on themes relating to "going into parenthood".

Season 1: boring start but gets better
Season 2: better plot
Side stories: GREAT

It was a nice read. It's very rare to see a FL so down to earth and drama-free. And it's the healthiest relationship I have ever seen in a manga. I just wished they made a bit more explanations about the world they live in, cause it's lacking.

best part of this is there's no silly misunderstandings dragged out, the couple are together almost right from the start. the story doesn't drag and there's a lot of charm to the both leads, Yunnifer and Ishid. i kinda wished they didn't have kids thou, adopting or fostering feels more suited to their setting. There are a lot that seems to be left out, only the two main leads and maybe the crown prince are fleshed out, the other characters are very rushed through. maube there's more in the novel for those who want to dwelve deeper.

🌚 ignore my previous review, im going to redo it. i just finished all the chapters in one sitting. i’m going to split this in two:

critiques:
- plot wise, there was a lot of build up with little pay off. for instance while i really liked the magic as a concept in here, it’s not further expanded upon even once they make new discoveries. and if there is a hint of romance between heroine (raelle) and the fl (yunifer whose name is still ridiculous), none of that is resolved. was this axed 😕
- even side characters like raelle’s friend michael and the child laborer have no storyline or ending other than to be plot armor/bluffs for the main characters.
- the drama felt stale at points in time. since it’s mostly a deep dive into their relationship, it’s fluff with some plot on the side but none of the interesting twists im into. could’ve used some angst to balance it out tbh
- the writing honestly was pretty choppy, like the author was making it up as she went along which is probably true because this is adapted from a web novel. events felt uncoordinated and random, especially since they weren’t written well or as if they were in any particular sequence (chapter would begin at random points). regardless, the narration was wonky and i’d get lost
- i’ll elaborate more on this later but bro fl-ml relationship begins when he takes advantage of her while she’s drunk and it’s later revealed he had a crush on her when she was presumably 13/14 and he was 17/18 😐. this is not discussed whatsoever and honestly excused because the korean yunifer was much older.
- speaking of, i wish this discussed more about the isekai portion. few ois do this; beware the villainess had this same problem where the heroine transmigrates but there is no discussion about what happened to the og!yunifer which is terribly sad when you consider the father keeps trying to say sorry to her.
- really could’ve used real smut

loves:
- healthiest relationship depiction i’ve ever seen in an oi. yes it starts off really wonky. but wow they actually communicate and listen to each other and help and uplift and support each other it makes me swoon. truly unforgettable i haven’t seen a manhwa so absent and not rife of any pointless misunderstandings in forever.
- literally a star of its kind. the focus is on the characters and relationships; both ishid and the prince (not a secondary ml, there is no love triangle) have such nuanced beliefs and thoughts and opinions. you don’t see that kind of development being put into characters these days, it’s revolutionary frankly.
- ishid was such a swoon worthy character he was so in love with yunifer i loved it. he was so cute, puppy, crying kind of type and yunifer was very mature and reasonable. sometimes i liked her more cold tbh.
- art was refreshingly different. simplistic but not the pasty bright tacky colors and dresses and flowers, just different.
- translation was actually really good and poetic and kept what i imagined the novels feel was like

overall: 8/10 i quite liked it (ignore the imbalance). very entertaining, sweet and cute, and contains my favorite toe curling trope (ml madly in love with fl). well done and so different, true josei of its genre

Despite the title, the FL is more of the typical isekai girl trying to survive than a villainess.
I really liked the lore with elemental mages, and the whole academy thing kind of felt like a college romance in a fantasy setting.
It is SO nice to have a Fl with her feet to the ground, teaching other characters healthier behavior!
The main couple was cute, the fact that they are sexually active makes for a more realistic relationship even if some of these scenes were confusing (nothing explicit so some panel are like what even is this body part supposed to be).

What really spoiled this webtoon for me is the pace. The progression between scenes and story arcs felt rushed or choppy. Sometimes I even wondered if I was missing panels or chapters but I don't think so. It also kind of felt like the author changed their mind on the overall story twice along the way.
The beginning is more of the typical isekai "how to keep the original story without dying". Then there is the whole monster hunt and "mystery" around the magic stones, which was cool but came and went out of nowhere. The end is about the main couple turning into villains, out of nowhere again, before an abrupt happy ending.

The side characters were nice but under explored. The secondary couple was supposed to be central the way they were introduced and yet one just disappeared from the last few chapters while the other is scarcely seen throughout the story and has his backstory and ending dropped in the end and covered in like 2 chapters.



Also there is never really a proper explanation on how the FL arrived in the world.


Overall lots of potential, nice characters, interesting setting but despite the 87 chapters it felt too short and would have probably deserved more chapters for a smoother progression and a better wrap-up. I'm curious how much comes from it being adapted from a novel and how much were flaws actually kept from the novel.

It's kinda cliché in its concept, but the main pair is still fun. The action is kinda meh. The plot is fine but I quite like how cunning Yunifer can act, it's great when it happens.

This manhwa leaves me craving for more. The art, plot, and character development is top knotch for a “smut” isekai manhwa. Im honestly confused why the ratings aren’t higher. To be honest I almost skipped out on reading this because the cover art is so dull. Im so glad I picked it up. I was getting so tired of the recycled isekai romance tropes, so this manhwa was a complete breath of fresh air. Also, HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS?! COMMUNICATION?! We love to see it! If you’re tired of toxic ML look no further! If you’re tired of damsel in distress MC look no further! If you want something darker, and more mature this manhwa is the one for you! (Btw if anyone knows of an isekai manhwa that can compare to this masterpiece please dm me!)
