Description

Powerplay is a pretty awesome hentai, its the ultimate in all hentai genre. With a bit of everything as the protaganist gets angels, demons, princesses, ninjas, highschool uniform cosplay as he get's "punished" as an evil king 😛 there's even angel on angel, angel on demon, demon on angel (in all combos) and group enslavement orgy too.

art is pretty good and storywise its hilarious! you can't say you don't enjoy it. chapter 6 is my favourite 😀

Great, But Not Fantastic

Overall this is definitely one of the better hentai out there. I will admit that Yamatogawa doesn't really go off the beaten path plot-wise for the genre, but in all other areas he excels marvelously.
0(Prologue): Things start off with a bang with an over-the-top, tentacle-filled, orgy. Not terrible, but definitely lacks the character depth and is easily one of the weaker chapters. 6.1/10
01. The story finally starts off! Really sweet in a way only hentai can be. 8/10
02. Pretty tame in comparison to the rest of the book, very enjoyable though. 8.2/10
03. The first chapter featuring Maria and where the real craziness of the series starts. 8.7/10
04. Another great chapter enjoyable for both yuri-fans and non-yuri fans. 8.8/10
05. One word, SWIMSUITS!!! Another great chapter with fantastic art. 8.7/10
06. The last of the three knights finally arrives and brings with her a chapter with a fetish for every color of the rainbow. 8.3/10
07. The least hentai-esqe of all the chapters, which may be good or bad depending on your personal preference. For me I find it a good "rest." 8.0/10
08. A great conclusion to the series that ends the hentai on a great note. 8.9

Some call this the mesh of generic ecchi manga and hentai and believe it an insult, I however find that an amazing compliment. Many mangaka seem to lack the talent to form plot and as such abandon mainstream manga becoming hentai mangaka. With Yamatogawa this isn't so, this is an actual work of merit and deserves to be treated as such.

The story wasn't anything too "revolutionary," but as a hentai, it doesn't need to be. It told a story of a guy who gets over his gynophobia and finds a compatible romantic partner in an unsuspecting girl from his fantasy world. While it barely has the length to even qualify as a harem as none of the women had any romantic interest in him. At least, not voluntarily since he has powers similar to an incubus. I think he made the best choice Sara. Miina's shock at there being no harem ending was also funny.

Barely goes off the beaten path. And I'm not just talking in terms of the hentai genre.

If it wasn't for the actual sex scenes, this would EASILY be classified as a cliche harem, ecchi story. Clueless male lead being pushed into action/inaction by 4 different girls with different personalities, goals and methods.

That said, its short and sweet. Everyone goes home (more or less) happy; no hard feelings, no brainwashing and "Bad Ends" for anyone.

Typically harem hentai and with a bit out of the ordinary plot. As usual, the MC is not good with females, the main girl of the harem is a tsundere, lots of jealously amoung the girls, etc etc... I really enjoy Yamatogawa's art style but never cared for his characters (Eclair was the only character I become fond of...sort of). I suppose this is a good manga for fans of harems, but if you're not just skip it.

There is, however, a short but nice yuri scene in chapter four and water girl (looks more like goo) scene in chapter five for those interested.

reading up to the most recent chapter, power play doesn't offer more than what tayu tayu and witchcraft had offered. little story line around exaggerated sex scenes. the drawing is as good as before, the characters are as dumb as before, the sex is as passionate as before. nothing new = not impressive. i drop this.
