So far it's a decent read.
...Granted, some parts of it are a bit meh. From the way I see it, the MC's real challenge is one of morality; will he exploit the elves' trust for his own sake, or will he do the right thing and help them.
But then the story spends too much establishing one challenge after another that the MC easily breezes through. The story also liberally uses SA and exploitation to portray how BAD the villains are, and as much as I understand the usage, it's also a bit lazy. None of the conflicts are complex enough to challenge MC and his personal struggles, and that makes the story a bit toothless, a bit too isekai for its own good.
However, the story does manage to tug heartstrings. The art is clean. And I do enjoy the not-so-allusion to modern politics (An insular society, too proud for their own good, locking themselves for so long that they end up falling behind in terms of technology. A society that is apparently being invaded by another race that is portrayed as greedy, lustful, perverse and ambitious.... gee golly, surely this is just a fantasy setting, right?) and I am curious to see where the story takes this.
