Description
“Mikazuchi Dorm” a dorm where the male students live. Sagara never had a problem finding a partner, but for the first time had his heart broken. As it was hard for him to stay at the dorms, he ventures to his childhood friend, Hibiki’s Dorm instead. But as Sagara realized Hibiki looked like the vice dorm leader when he wears his glasses, he asked him to “comfort me” as a joke. To his surprise, Hibiki agrees. kinks / general warnings
what you see in the summary is what you get really. no twists or turns here—just guys being dudes, and getting off their childhood best friend who they have a crush on bc he got dumped. unfortunately the romance and "heartbreak", as they categories/tags suggest, come about as flat as my chest (which is to say, very flat).
the characters are as predictable as they come and kinda plain to look at, but it still ranks leagues above some other bl shit i've seen, and the art style is very clean and easy to follow. the smut is mediocre but i can see the sensuality in it, and there's porn every chapter so that's not too bad. and a nice thing, for once, is that everything they do is consensual~!! \o/
honestly, i kinda liked the extra oneshot included with the volume more than i did the main story. it takes place in the same 'verse/dormitory-school, and though a little cliche, the characters aren't quite as boring, plus the porn is hotter. so if there's anything to look forward to in this manga, it's that oneshot.
i'd give this a 7 if it weren't so mediocre, but it really is. aside from consent, an art style i could appreciate, and some cute moments here and there, the manga was overall kinda blah for me. not a complete waste of time, but if there's something else you could occupy your energy with, i'd probably go for that.

the story starts as "i'll comfort you in your rejection" "okay" "wait what"
the top bounces back from his rejection pretty quickly—there really isn't any conflict in his feelings, and i, at least, was kinda skeptical about how deep his emotions really were for the original dude he was pining for and the bottom/his eventual lover.
the childhood friends aspect of their relationship is basically just a flimsy excuse for the bottom liking the top first. also, the whole thing about his glasses didn't really translate as well as the mangaka probably wanted, but it was A Thing, and i am a poor sucker for a cute megane danshi, so it was fine with me lol. really the only memorable thing in their romance really was the bottom being cute and blush-y, especially when he was the one to make the first move.
