Description
In order to eat me, my enigmatic stalker is protecting me from other strange women― A high school boy, Sakurai Aoi, has a secret he cannot tell anyone: he has been plagued by stalkers since he was a child. One day, his classmate, Ueda, suddenly transforms into a monster, revealed to be one of his stalkers. Miyako, who has always been closely following him, appears and saves him. She tells Sakurai that the monsters, commonly known as urban legends in Japan, are after him because they love him. What will be the fate of Sakurai who is loved by countless creatures disguised as beautiful girls?

As of writing, 30 chapters are out
Understood most of it for the first 20 chapters, but for the next 10, where most of the answers are given (I think), I really started tripping. Given how mysteries are explained in this super cryptic mythos way, I think a lot of stuff might be getting lost into translation, but again, I really don't know, I could also just be an idiot.
Side note: 30 chapters is not even close to the end. It's not even close to the end of the arc, let alone the overarching plot. Or maybe it is, I'm honestly that lost

The premise is the same as that from Appetite - An awkward schoolboy gets protected by a pretty girl who wants to keep him safe from monsters - for later consumption.
I quite like the idea, and the monster design is stunning! The panel composition never failed to deliver the right mood but unfortunately, a premise like this one gets carried by its characters.
And that's where it fell flat for me.
The female lead is a clichee-perfect waifu with a Yandere tendency - and nothing beyond that. Her entire personality is just centered around obsessing over the protagonist. I was hoping that eventually a backstory or something would give the character more depth, but she has stayed flat for over 15 chapters now and I don't see any possibility over it getting better.
The male lead is slightly more interesting - but that's not hard to achieve.

Very confusing storyline. What the hell is happening. Who is the girl that miyako threw at Sae when they first met? Why is Miyako a stalker?
I'm super excited to see how this one pans out. The art is amazing and I feel like the author has a very good understanding on how to run a horror/thriller manga, so I have high hopes for this promising series
