Description
Charlotte de Perol is a beautiful lady with a heartbreaking past. She has endured long years of abuse and threats from her mother while her father was busy chasing girls and wasting the family's fortune. I liked this series at first, the sisters' relationship developed nicely and I liked their chemistry. But the love triangle plot between Charlotte and the red heads was just dumb. I can't tell if the story wants me to treat the King as a joke or a serious threat. And I find it hypocritical that Charlotte's abuse is treated seriously but not the male lead's. I just dropped it after how dumb the plot got. Also the story relies too much on narrating what's clearly happening visually and giving information to justify why someone is acting a certain way.

I love the beginning where Charlotte and Kara find their footing as sisters. And Kara's romance was PERFECT for her! Charlotte's romance is getting unnecessarily complicated though, because Theron has total delusions about Charlotte and is getting in the way between Charlotte and Arthur.

Also, getting tired of Charlotte's "angel"-like beauty bought up every time she goes somewhere. We get it. She's beautiful. Please move on.
