Description

Nishimura Shousuke is a local shoemaker with a leg and foot fetish who was once famed for making women's shoes. However, after having to make a difficult decision he has decided to never make a pair of women's shoes again.

Until one day, a high-school girl enters his shop with a particular set of shoes that were once created by Nishimura and were in need of repair..

I like the art, and the subject matter intrigued me. I'm not sure I can say much else positive.

Sakamoto and Seki are manipulative and I can't stand them. Nishimura, for his part, is submissive and full of self-loathing, an utterly stereotypical portrayal that I find equally nauseating. The man is good at what he does and takes a keen interest in something that not many others see the beauty in. And what does he get for it? Trampled literally and figuratively by two women who couldn't care less about him or his talent.

And that ending, blegh. What a perfect way to answer nothing and leave all the readers more blue than they were previously.

What happened to the ending??

I was really enjoying this read, but the ending was so abrupt and anticlimactic. IMO it needed at least another chapter or so. It would have been nice to see some sort of resolution with the relationship between the two MCs too, but all you get is a couple of sentences.

The portrayal of the male MC's fetish was really thoughtful: you could really feel the inner conflict and self-loathing he experienced. It was also really clever the way he went from coming across as a sort of sexual predator to a victim of his own (unconscious) behaviours.

All-in-all, very good read, but could have been even better (and I'm really sad that it wasn't).

Man this manga was surprisingly good. I liked both main characters they seemed very cute. I would have love to see them develop into a relationship. If the author see this please continue this manga its a fun read and enjoyable read but i guess thats just wishful thinking 🙁 mades me sad cos I really liked the characters and I really wanted to see them grow.

The author himself said he regrets some parts of this.
I'm guessing the situation with the ex-wife could have been worked upon a bit more, as well as Akane's living conditions. There could have been a bit more in the way of the protagonists' interactions but overall it was a pretty interesting read.
The art is quite nice and soft. Also, if you too are into feet. you've come to the right place. It's rather touching in that respect.

Romantic, but not conventionally so, and also not very erotic. On the other hand, after reading a lot of manga, I'm pretty sure that by and large Japanese men have trouble getting involved with women. Possibly that's because as a people the Japanese are very well-behaved.

So this guy may be closer to your average Japanese man than those unreal love-hounds from shojo, and the almost completely paralyzed teenage boys in shonen and particularly shonen harem stories. Except he does have one little difference.
