And if it goes like the original novel, it has one shitty depressing ending too. Man of all the manhwas/Korean LNs I've given a try over the years I think only two have not ended up being a tragedy. What is up with people over there actually wanting to feel miserable while reading fiction?

If you really enjoy comedic misunderstandings (which is different from drama based on a misunderstanding that could have been fixed with a simple conversation), then the first 30 or so episodes are amazing. After that, it starts forgetting the comedy and instead emphasizes his trauma and demon/human world conflict. At which point it starts to drag a little. I'm up to chapter 59 and still mostly enjoying it, but I haven't laughed in a while and I just don't care about the plot as much without the comedy.

i can't say a lot abt this manhwa without spoiling, but it's cool!! definitely not a 10/10 but pretty high up there 🤓 chapters are pretty long, but that's what must be done to tella story Muahahaha

mc's driving force is his hatred, and i like how this is demonstrated in the story. everything he does is for his goal , and u can tell it's not gonna end well.

side characters have their own motivations that are slowly revealed, and oftentimes u gotta piece together the clues to figure them out. Very cool! there's definitely way too many though 💀💀 Maybe i'm the one w amnesia cuz i can't remember these guys wtf

art is great. Awesome. I love the fights cuz it feels like u really tap into the psyche of whoever's battling hehehehe

definitely read if u enjoy psychological manhwas. or action. or psychological action. or revenge (ish... there's not a lot of revenge going on but it's a main plot point!!). it's great!

also u can tell who barely got past the first few chapters or barely skimmed the rest in the reviews 🤓 it's already hinted at in the 3rd (Third) (#3) chapter and totally confirmed in the 7th that there's actually, iirc the whole schtick abt is as good as revealed before the 20th if u read with any sense of media literacy. Idk what we tryna waffle abt...

I don't know what the other reviewers are smoking but the whole point of Deon is that he can't reconcile with the actions of his other nature. That is literally the whole point. These people are expecting him to suddenly overcome 8 years of trauma and survival skills to be the 'OP Protag that has no flaw'
Not to mention, this isn't a misunderstanding, it's a misconception from Deon himself.

It drags on and on. Many of the chapters could be summarised in half.

Stories about misunderstandings require a certain finesse to work at all, and that's entirely absent here. The protagonist believes everyone is deluded to consider him strong, even though they witness him do stuff which he just doesn't remember afterward. That degree of obtuseness is just as infuriating here as it is in the worst romcom protagonists.

Other than that, the art is also unappealing.

Anyway, if you'd like to read a much better story which involves comedic misunderstandings, check out The Saga of Tanya the Evil instead.

Starts off as a misunderstanding comedy, but is now an edgy action story with a storyline that doesn't add up. Not a fan of the emporer character, seems very generic to me.
