And then there was chibi-Flan...so cute and dangerous.

I consider myself a wordy person on paper, but I just can't say much about Chibi Flan.
I can summarize the story in just one sentence: one day, Flandre Scarlet shrunk for plot convenience. ...And wackiness ensues! Yeah, don't read this expecting the next great novel. In fact, don't expect a story period. Despite being three volumes long, Chibi Flan has no overarching storyline. That's excusable; it's a comedy, it's not supposed to be taken seriously. And being light and funny is where it succeeds... some of the time. Some of the jokes just aren't funny, not even in an awkward sense. The only joke I found funny was Remilia's constant attempts to be more intimate with her now less terrifying little sister, who reacts with a bite to the head.
Actually, there is one instance where there is something resembling a plot in volume three when Remilia loses her memories, but it's resolved in the end. I'm just curious as to how Flan shrank. Was it her own doing, did Patchouli give her some sort of experimental age-reducing potion, was she just screwing around with Sakuya's time-controlling pocket watch? Who the hell knows.
Even the art feels really simple. It's detailed enough, yet it feels like so much more could have been done. Then again, the focus isn't on art that makes you ooh and aah, it's in the comedy.
Regardless of what I've said, did I enjoy Chibi Flan?... Yeah, I did. It's light and fluffy and helps me when I'm in a slump. But it's definitely not something I would want to reread over and over again. This was actually the first Touhou-jin that I read, and I could understand what was going on despite not knowing jack about Touhou. It's a good introduction to Touhou, but there are certainly better stories out there.
