Description
A Drunken Dream is a collection of literary short stories by Hagio falling into multiple genres, created between 1971-2007. The stories were selected by translator Matt Thorn to be an introduction to Hagio for English speakers. This tome travels through several of Hagio's most revolutionary and poignant tales that span over the years of her lush career.

This collection of short stories proves that Moto Hagio is a master storyteller and a genius mangaka: all the stories are brilliant and imaginative (I love how "A drunken dream" mixes space opera with fantasy elements like reincarnation romance and fate) and the author proves a good example of how someone should write about something complex like grief, family drama and abortion properly.
