Description
Click. A thoughtless finger slip leads Jo to snap a picture of Ian smoking on his balcony - and thus, their fates begin to intertwine. Jo can't stop fantasizing about the tall, handsome stranger on the balcony, and he grabs any chance to get to know him better. Unfortunately, he doesn't realize that Ian does the dirty work for one of the region's largest, most unsavory gangs... and is the sex partner of one of their most powerful people. A violent struggle for succession within the gang drags Ian deeper into this hellish cycle, making him the target of both detectives and other gang members...

I feel like I need to state I'm not a fan of crime/mafia settings but it was also set in NYC and I'm always curious to see how it's done in comics.
Sadly, it's not a huge part of it so I didn't get a sense it HAD to be in NYC as it felt like a generic city in USA? I feel like it had more iconic locations I'd feel like oh I recognize that place. Oh well.
I feel like the main issue is that I don't find Ian's relationships and the related Love Triangle that compelling to read and the plot is pretty much a vehicle for his romances other than yeah that TJ is sure toxic and Jo is a pretty bland green flag. Also, I feel my mind is losing it when I read about the gang's accession wars I need a mini summary each season because it's supposed about the mafia but in reality, it's about one man's indecision in life partners.
There are def moments I thought wait..why are we doing this right now? I dropped it since it was just kind of a meandering plot that declined over time. Also, it's a shame that Ian is actually vers/switch and it doesn't get a decent mention in the main story I'm not but why not tho.

Generic. Maybe I went with too much hope so I couldnt enjoy it as it is.
An American mafia story needs good dialogue and this one barely has any! Which is a pity because the main characters and setting have great potential, the backstory of the characters are great, at the beginning I almost thought we were going to see a good yaoi with a mafia adjacent background but, meh. It's just sex sex sex.
There are great concepts that could make this story stand out. And yet everything that is good about this story lasts only one chapter to never be explored deeper, never to be mentioned again. It's just sex and a love triangle. And this love triangle, man, it's just too annoying.
There are two potential ML: Jo, the Italian American cutie and TJ, the Korean American asshole gangster. On a storytelling perspective they needed to be different enough to present a challenge to Ian to choose who to be with, but the crazy thing is that in their relationship to Ian they act almost the same. The author has failed.

Ian keeps going like an yo-yo through both of them and it's just annoying. The story feels like it's just Ian having carnal pleasure with both the MLs. I'm not slutshaming, I think Ian has incredible potential as a character, but this is the same plot of a thousand others yaois with not a single great thing going on for this webtoon.
The person responsible for this story is a great artist, and has a good head for charismatic characters, but they are really bad at storytelling. They don't know how to explore the best parts of the story they have. One basic example: Even the bedroom dynamic is absolute the same no matter what couple is on the bed, like, no imagination whatsoever. I wish I could do an overhaul of the entire plot structure.

I don't like TJ and don't think he is that hot so I can't understand why he has so many fans. And he appears much more than Jo, it's clear the author is taking his fame in consideration and completely sidelining Jo who according to the synopsis was supposed to be the main ML! But even if I liked him I don't think this story would get any better

I find this project very interesting, the style of the design is really great, very captivating and seductive, also yes, there is sex and luckily I say, as it is a yaoi manhua and it speaks of mafia and sex. I think there is love as much as there is sex. Some complain about abundant sex but in the end they like it as much as a good story and I believe there are both here.
I hope it won't be only the sex based story as usual.. forced toxicity just to add more sex scenes (as for now... there is more sex scenes then the story, well, sex sells the best)... I had high expectations when it comes to the plot, because artstyle is just phenomenal, it would be a nice change to have both, a good plot and artstyle.... We'll see, as for now TJ and Ian are very irritating so... I'm not a fan
...and I think I expected too much from this second season 🤣 drawing is amazing, but unfortunately... storytelling is terrible... People these days think that if they have drawing skills they can write, but these two skills don't go together🤦 typical sex fans bl readers are hyped because of the artstyle and 'hot characters', but series should have something more to tell, not only sex 🤦
