This was a really good story, if a bit dark and bloody at times. I loved the protagonist but it could have been stretched out a little I think, shown us a little more of his lifestyle, his background and his relationship with Renge. Still a good manga. Reasons for a 9 instead of a 10 are the shortness, I didn't get attached to the character since the shortness of the manga left room for good but limited development. Also sometimes the artwork made lips look too big and it bugged me. I'm picky like that. No real shounen-ai in it so fans would be disappointed if that was the main reason for reading this but I'm not into shounen-ai myself so this was a plus point for me.
I enjoyed it a lot, and the main character was wonderful. 😀 ... but it was too short. I kinda wish there were more than 2 volumes. But on the whole, it's worth your while.
i really like this manga like i do the other works of tohjoh asami-sensei but this one stands out among her work and i don't know why this is classified as shonen-ai there is like one maybe 2 scenes of Bl-ity (boy's love) in it if you consider it boys love i mean the guys are prettier than normal . the plot is interesting, the way he kills is like a revitalizing of the old but somehow new. there is some humor, when renge is there. and the mood is just right.
the end for me was alright, i would'nt be able to make a better one but maybe tohjoh asami-sensei could've, because it was rather sudden (the ending) and was kind of lacking, like there coul've been more.
its cool, there a hot guys, it's dramatic, it has a touch of humor and has that morbid/gothic-ish aura attached to it. i highly recomend it, especally to those who are not familiar with shonen-ai and want something not so BL.
I really enjoyed this manga because the storyline was quite interesting but what am wondering is where is the shounen ai? There was probably one picture that portrayed shotacon shounen ai but that was it.
I actually enjoyed this a great deal, it's pretty good and fairly mysterious until the end. Its about a guy who has no choice but to be an assasin to pay for his brothers medical bills. only... I wouldn't exactly call it a shounen-ai, except for a brief non- con scene (can't see much anyway) between a father and son (and I am definately not into non-cons, or shota, for that matter), and maybe a brief kissing scene between the main character and some other guy (I think), there really is no shounen-ai. This isn't a manga to read if you're only getting it for the shounen-ai. Still, I think it's definantly worth a read, plus the main character is hot! (if a little bit girlish looking)
