Time is in the 8th year of Taisho. Yuzuki, a village girl who is about to marry his son, Yuichiro, the heir to the Kaguraki family who has been the mayor of Kaguraki village for generations. Yuzuki and Yuichiro were supposed to fall asleep for a year with the "power to stop the time" of the poisonous plant Tokohana, to escape the disease that spreads to the village.
