So this is the start of it all huh; there isn't a lot of Hasegawa x Gintoki material out there so I gobbled this one right up since I do like their dynamics as characters and how Gintoki does seem to have a soft spot for his fellow good-for-nothing bum you know? lol. The doujinka really knows how to rile up her audience; I just couldn't wait to jump right into the next instalment in the series!
Fantastic series of doujins!

Starting with 'Guilty Game,' I really cannot recommend this series highly enough, especially for fans of Kyuugou's work. For reference: This series of doujins includes 'Guilty Game,' 'Kienu Warui Koto wo Hyakumanben' (parts 1 and 2), and 'Akuji Extra'. As a fun side note, 'But Now Uncontrol' is another doujin that floats loosely around this timeline.
I read this series without having seen Gintama. I wasn't into the fandom at all (at the time), but the story still immediately caught my attention and refused to let go. Admittedly the pairing is a rare one, but give it a chance - the dynamic Kyuugou weaves between them is fascinating. Throughout these stories, their evolving relationship is surprisingly human and delicate, with a subtle storyline that is handled with great consideration. Kyuugou's art is especially soft and beautiful in these books, and it helps suit the calm, sometimes poetic mood perfectly. And if you've got a high tolerance for some R18 scenes (this is not a smut title, but these books have a healthy serving of content), this series stands out as some of the best Gintama doujins out there.
