From StarryHeaven:
The aphrodisiac night retreat is a place with no menu, and the tea is made to the customer's image by the employees. An omnibus story surrounds the overbearing masters, various customers, and the tea!
7 Volumes (Complete)

What drew my attention in the first place was a tomboy romance with a high rating. However, the clean and neat art might be the only nice thing in this manga. Maybe I am too old for this type of shoujo, but I don't think that I would read this in my teens as well. The plot is not entertaining at all: the worst of the shallow kind. There are too many couples and lacking focus. It's like this is categorized in smut, so there must be blatant sex scenes here and there throughout the story. So dull that I had to stop reading it halfway through.
I was proud that I stayed with this manga for a long time. I forgot how I stopped, but when I remembered that was when it released its last chapter. It was cute UNTIL SOMEONE POINTED IT OUT THAT THE GUY RAPED HER IN THE FIRST RELEASED CHAPTER. I swear I loved the manga wholeheartedly (to the point that I didn't notice the rape since the succeeding chaps were good). BUT THE GUY MC RAPED (taking advantage of a drunk woman is idk... RAPE ??!?) AND EXTORTED A DAMN MINOR. Uh yea, a lowkey fcked up manga with cherry on top (to hide the fckup-iness) please
p.s. HOW DOES THIS MANGA HAVE HIGH RATINGS??!?
What I want to say is that for Biyaku Cafe, you have to consider what you're reading and what type of series it is. If you want to go for some kind of plot or something, then you might be in for a disappointment. However, that's not really the case for me.
Plot wise, there's not much but more like the character introduction (their first appearance) and then how things gradually work out for them. Each character basically finds their own happiness or something in common inside the cafe with the concept "drinks based on customers' image".
There's like what? 5 pairs and .5 in a sense of how they hooked up and each going through their own troubles and first world crisis, in fact, you could say the entire "story" ties in with the characters instead, than an actual plot. Lots of PDAs (lol) and light smuts basically.
I did have some troubles going through with reading BC few times before, but in the end it was worth it. I laughed and had some tears, cliche as it was, the ending was really nice.
I love this! This manga involves 6 different couples with most of them getting an equal amount of spotlight. It's great fun, cause you can choose which couple you like best and cheer them on. It's quite unique for a manga to feature this many couples and mash their stories together chronologically like this.
My favourite couples were Kagetsu and Kaori and Omi and Tomo. The other four annoy me. Of those 4, 2 only get minor spotlight (read it if you want to know the obvious reason behind that). I feel a bit sad about that, cause I prefer the 2 couples with lesser time.
It's also a very unique manga for showing so many different relationship styles! One fast paced, another is cowardly, third is a bit childish, fourth is immature as all f.
But the ending was soo good! You've got to read this!
Spoiler:
Kagetsu's ex is super scary!! O_O So unique! What the hell is wrong with that chick??
This author appeals to josei & fujioshis. Its not h romance, but hot bodies and eyes that draw you to complete the read.... I can appreciate the scanlation group for finishing it, but had someone said the last 10 chapters were not sparky like the beginning id have stopped sooner. But omg as a fujiuoshi fan, her works are hot! But seriously ive read mostly her yoai works then this one after seeing her kuro nekos.... I realized this author is a favorite. However, the ecchi & the fun are lost about chapter 10...and the ending... Well... If you like cliche... This is it... But seriously lacking. Spolier: in 1st 5 chapters they are like rabbits. So why not end it like it began.
Lastly, i struggle with age gap characters in yoai. This one, I forgot she was a girl after a few chapters in. So, while the art & plot are fun.... This isnt a serious drama, barely smut, and well.... There's many other newer works like the Kuroneko series that will keep you fully entertained no matterhow many chapters she shows keichi & shingo in!
I'd wager that the manga began as one of those shitty borderline h smut oneshots (if you don't know, it's basically hentai marketed towards women; see Renta!). The mangaka probably got an unexpectedly high response and was picked up for a serialization.
Anyways, it's one of the best (and hottest) tomboy romances you can find, so give it a read.
Also, there is no drugging; dude just made a fucking kickass brew of tea, had magic shoujo pheromones, and the girl was emotionally perturbed. There isn't any blackmail either. She damages his store and he tells her to work it off. Her becoming a tsundere sex friend isn't entirely unrelated, but there certainly isn't any sexual bartering or debt-motivated prostitution.
This is a really good manga and a huge trope-breaker. No rapey love rivals. None of that bullshit "we won't have sex because I'm cherishing you" horseshit that usually accompanies age gap manga. The girl stays cute and innocent as fuck even with all the sex she's having. The male lead is a little rapey (he took advantage of an emotionally vulnerable person) but I'm sure if the manga had audio she'd be doing those porn "n-no...."s and not anything remotely like "NO!". It's just how tsunderes have sex
To tell you the truth, the first chapter was bad. It left a bad impression on me, but I continued reading it since I heard the manga is not only about them. There are multiple couples, and I'm glad I stayed because I really liked chapter 2 and after that this manga got better and better.
It can be a little sappy but I've always liked this story and the couple from the first chapter (chapter 0) are my favorite. I find it funny, cute, and sexy and so on and so forth.
To the person who feels that the first chapter portrays 'rape' and being 'drugged', I dont really agree with that assessment because after reading the entire Chapter 0 thoroughly, I better understood what was really going on with the girl in that respect.
I'm not trying to be insulting or anything but I thought that that assessment was a little unfair for the story.
I'm not pleased with this story. The characterization is weak and they fall in love far too quickly. The main character is cliche and the plot is mostly annoying. From the first chapter I could tell that it wasn't really going anywhere.
It's horrible.
First of all, the relationship development between the two protagonist is too quick for my taste. I was shocked by rape in the first chapter and the reaction of the girl. Being drugged and then sexually assaulted is a very serious thing and she was too nonchalant about it. She was introduced in a very innocent way, so you never expected her to be a non-virgin (EDIT: My bad. She said it "hurts" so I assume she was a virgin, which makes the whole rape thing even worse because of her reaction). I can also tell that this manga is inspired by Ouran High School Host club, only this has a little twist to it. It's smutty, it lacks character development, and the emotional depth. I have to admit, however, that I'm a fan of sexy, shallow manga.
