Description
It's a sad and beautiful tale about Pom the panda, a little fellow who dressed as a panda and hands out balloons to children. Pom loves a human girl, Fuu. Poor Pom dies before confessing his love to Fuu.
Pom becomes a ghost who waits for a long, long time on the bench where he got a date with Fuu, trying to find the right words to tell his beloved that he will never come back without making her sad.

I thought this was an excellent oneshot. The plot was interesting and original. The ending was really touching for me, I even cried (I have less than 5 manga I've ever cried reading). I don't agree with the below post, I think Pom is worth the time to read. Though looking back, maybe what I found dramatic was meant to be funny.

I expected this to be one of those quiet, peaceful "healing-type" mangas. It definitely wasn't. No, despite its summary Pom the Panda tries to be more of a sardonic black comedy with some cute little kids and ugly bishoujos. It isn't funny, nor is it successfully sad.
Who would I suggest this to...? Not too many people. I guess if you're looking for something kind of gross in its attempts to meld cute and sad and sardonic and you're into ugly bishoujos, this is for you. Not anyone else.
The background art is very good, if that's any consolation.
