This type of over the top, comedic BL is usually not my type at all. I was skeptical before reading it and the first chapter confirmed my skepticism.
The characters and their behavior were too extra, there were too many speech bubbles and dialogues, there was a lot going on in each panel and on top of that the mangaka dumped all the world building over us in the first chapter. Quite frankly I didn’t know where to look at and I couldn’t focus much.
But by chapter 2 it got better, the plot settled down and the pacing too. I’m not gonna lie, the main couple didn’t interest me as much as Beni & Suzuran and Nishiki & Mitsuba. The main couple relationship felt rushed and not developed, there wasn’t a real reason for why they fell in love plus Fuyou back story was meh. At least Beni & Suzuran had the angst going for them and Nishiki & Mitsuba had the cuteness and fluff.
Despite all the flaws, I still liked this manga but I couldn’t tell you why tho. It’s not that bad.

The plot has its own world building aspect of neirs (regular humans) and beasts of blood ( aka b.o.b., consisting of vampires, lycans, and sirens). The world building aspect is especially heavy in the first chapter, so be prepared for a major info dump to be able to understand the plot.
Aside from that, the manga is fairly chaotic and each panel is visually busy. There is meant to be a comedy aspect which is very random and shows up unexpectedly sometimes distracting from the drama and sometimes proving a welcome relief after trying to understand what on earth is going on.
Heavy on the aesthetics, you can tell the artist was really trying to push the ikeman aspect. They look like 2000s jrock members, just a biiiit.
Unrelated to the manga review: The scanlation team appears to have done a very good job since this manga is quite text heavy and all of it is done in a way that is easy to understand, and legible despite fitting a ton of text on some of these panels. My lack of plot comprehension is definitely coming from the original source material, because they really did well on translating it faithfully, and having read their other works I know that they are reliable translators and that I've never had this confusion with their other works.
Sad that I just didn't enjoy this manga as I had hoped to. =/
