I can't really say this volume is anything spectacular, but it was entertaining enough for a quick, light-hearted read. It definitely shows that this is one of the mangaka's earlier works.
"Hand Me Your Love!!" is a cute story with a spunky female lead and a likable playboy of a male lead. It's a bit odd to see the boy's sudden change from playboy to earnest guy... but it somehow worked. Overall, the story was entertaining - though it seemed to take way too long for them to sort out the "obstacle" at the ending. I mean, come on. They just made it needlessly complex.
"With a Blush and a Racing Heart" plays on too many cliches for me to really enjoy. The author's notes on this story say it was her debut work - and I'm not surprised. It's very simple and lacks that extra something that a successful mangaka tends to display in their work. I was hoping they would go somewhere different with the female side character... but the character ended up being a pretty big cliche, herself. Disappointing.
"Perfect Feeling" is a cute story and my favorite in this volume. The heroine is likable and easy to relate to - and the situation, while unusual, makes sense and is fun to watch play out. Definitely a feel good romantic one-shot.
"Kiss Kiss x 2" was really lackluster. In fact, it kept putting me to sleep! It seems like a shoujo scene stretched out to fill an entire one-shot. There really isn't much point to it - and it was my least favorite of the volume.
Overall, this volume has its good points and its bad ones. I wouldn't say I recommend it, but it's not a bad volume, either. If you're a fan of Iori Shigano, you'll want to see where she got her start (and just how far she's come!), but other readers could probably find better shoujo one-shots elsewhere.
