Touko is a senior in art school. She’s not a particularly happy person because she’s still hung up on her ex-boyfriend, who she discovered cheating on her three years ago. Enter Shima, a freshman boy who is definitely interested in his brooding upperclassman.
All the main characters are in some way connected to each other. Touko’s next-door neighbor, Kana, works at a hostess bar with Fuki, the ex-boyfriend. What’s more, Shima, the freshman, used to date Kana.
The story comes to a climax when Kana asks Touko to help out at her work, and Touko hits it off with Fuki again. Kana then tells Shima that the two might be starting to get together again. There is a long period of cold-shouldering, then finally Shima breaks between Touko and Fuki to claim Touko as his own.
