Minase has a streak of bland bl for a long time now, and this one is not an exception. Stopping a sport because of an injury, calculating women, main character building imaginary obstacles, sudden third wheel just to reinforce the main relationship... All tropes and cliches, you won't find anything new or exciting in Aibou no Jouken (nor in any of her future works I suspect).
And for the person who downvoted the rape tag, did you read the first chapter? That's what we call "rape" irl. I'd advise you to remove your yaoi-colored glasses. 🙂
This manga is not bad per se, but if I had to explain why I didn't like it, I'd say it's because its rhythm is off. The pace of the events makes it feel anticlimactic, specially the ending. It's not bad, it won't make you suffer I think, but it's just not as good as Minase-sensei's other stories.
