Good time waster here.
Typical pre-organised niche, with a quirky outlook on drunken sex.
The origin of the story was good. The pretext also good.
The execution turned out not so good.
The author just managed to make me believe that there was some 'love' that the two felt for each other, before BAM! the later chapters made me rethink it altogether.
Rather than love, I believe the two are experiencing an "I'm lonely" syndrome, where both amuse the other with a sense of love as to feed their thirst for lust. If its about love, neither truly strongly feels for the other, at least that was how I felt. In the end it seemed fickle love of convenience, rather than the heart. Especially with the fact that we are told that Doumu (President) and Ryouji had a sexual relationship with each other, and some deep bonds that never ran dry. I felt that their relationship resembled more of a lovers one (especially with the promise to come back, open business and come work for me, felt more true). This lead me to believe that Hane's and Ryouji's relationship is one of convenience, they both desperately wanted to know what love was, and so they conveniently fell in love with each other. But it doesn't seem like it'll last, so far both parties are happy. Hane has a home, Ryouji a fuck buddy, but for how long? Add into the midst a third strong conquering party and you have the making for a tragic fallout by the mains. I just don't see it lasting, and the more I look, the more their relationship is fickle.
Disappointing, as the story was progressing so well. So much that it would have been best not to show the later two chapters. I know this was maybe to deepen the characterisation of the others, but instead it just made me go "Uh huh, so that's how it really is..."
Also, I felt it would have been better if there were no gender roles, like the other work by this author. In fact I chose this story just because of how well ranked (and enjoyable) the other story was.
To each their own. I'd say, just go read it and form your own opinions.
