It's the era of the Three Kingdoms.
Warlords and their tacticians are indispensable to one another during wartime. This is the story of such general-strategist duos from the infamous Sangokushi.
6 Volumes (Complete)

I noticed that some people have complaints about this story not being historically accurate; well, it's not a historical manga. It's really not. This is a fantasy manga that is VERY VERY LOOSELY based on the Three Kingdoms history. In a way, it's more like, a fictional story based in the past. To make a comparison, its kinda like Sengoku Basara or more like Shoukoku no Altair(another war manga). You're going to enjoy this story a lot more if you don't know anything about chinese history or if you stop nitpicking on the history facts. If you just let the mangaka run with this idea, then he/she will tell you a really good story.
ANYWAY. The story is fun and filled with lots of bishounens (I'm a girl so I like that stuff lol). The whole plot is about this one kid who wants to become a great strategist and gets an opportunity after he's caught spying on the practice drills. The strategies used in the story are really interesting to read about and so far its pretty clever. I'd like to see what else the manga has in store and I really hope the translation team keeps up their good work (they're awesome. Seriously). The characters are all very diverse and the relationships are interesting but the characters ARE NOT GAY. I don't have anything against yaoi lovers but its really not. It's more like a bromance between brothers on the battlefield than anything else.
The thing that really stands out about this manga is that the ART is sooooo good. It's really detailed and nice to look at. The artist makes all the clothes looks so pretty and really brings the setting to life. The backgrounds also have good detail which helps the immersiveness of the world. I really wish more people would read this manga and give it their support because it's really a fun read if you want to get away from the mainstream fare. Just stick with it for a few chapters and you'll get really hooked. So far only 11 chapters are scanlated but hopefully the group will stick with it if it gets enough fans and we'll be able to read the end of it. I've been looking on amazon for translated english publications but there aren't any so far 🙁
