Have you ever wondered why these 1000years old powerhouses after reincarnating starts acting like a 15 year boy in heat and every one other MC has no brain then I can't scorn you I have also been thinking the same thing every time I read other reincarnated novels and manhua's... I am currently at chapter 900 in novel and has already read to chapter 1700 in raws .. this novel doesn't degrade in quality .. Keep in mind that MC is never going to have any love interest neither does he make any single friends through out his journey of attaining the ultimate goal of immortality ... He has already been in love and already loved in his previous life...

Manga is so-so, the novel is better

An issue of the manhua format is that it'll cut everything short. While there is undoubtedly a lot of padding and unnecessary content in the novel, it at least has everything. This is a story that requires all of the details. It will not be that good unless you know most of his thoughts.

The basic idea of this story is that the mc is someone who transmigrated/reincarnated from earth and lived a truly horrible life, too horrible for words. He was always living the hard way and despite trying his best at going the more bright and sunny way, life screwed him over all the time. He ended up getting warped by his experiences and spent hundreds of years learning this world's way of life. A way of life with big wars, battles and death everywhere and where you're nothing but an ant if you don't have power and take everything in your own hands. Having no other way out, we can say that he became somewhat insane, rationally insane, not the illogical crazy stuff, just insane, scheming, ruthless, heartless and doing everything for benefits and to further his own goal, eternal life and rising above everything.

He has seen the bad sides of people all too much and can't trust anyone, which is completely justified since most people tend to be assholes in this story. They live by the law of the jungle, even the "justice" side of things are just full a bunch of hypocrites that pretend to be good but act more like corrupt politicians who wouldn't hesitate to backstab people for their own benefits.

This guy was finally chased down and killed, travelling the river of time with the help of spring and autumn gu which he created, a legendary "gu", going back to where it all started. Now he will rise to the top by all means necessary, there are literally no moral barriers in his mind, if it'll help him in any way, he'll do it, if not, he won't, it's all about benefits, not so much about enjoying killing people. His actions are evil and he's a scheming bastard, but that's why we should love it. He starts low and life just hits him below the belt over and over again, he does his best and more but he still has to struggle and barely scrape by.

Well, the point is that the novel will let you in on his thoughts and the background of his actions. It will let you understand his logic and come to appreciate his behavior. There are gruesome parts and everyone is there to get used, nothing more. Nothing is more satisfying than when he finally reaps his benefits after long, long struggles at the edge of a blade, the grand reversals are some of the best ones I've ever seen. Characters that would normally just be trash to be discarded are kept despite being annoying and keeps on being developed and used, people don't just die instantly because the mc doesn't like them.

The manhua, however, rushes everything and doesn't provide enough explanations for his actions. Thus we get people like PZcolo who doesn't know what they're talking about, they read the manga without knowing the actual story and every necessary thought, as such his actions just seem to be those of a psycho taking pleasure in murdering people randomly for no reason, not really a good experience, I can understand that. This story is nothing without all the lengthy exposition and internal monologue, so read the novel. The manhua can be enjoyed after you've read the novel as you will know what's really up. I feel like turning it into a manhua was a mistake from the start, it doesn't work well with such a format.

Looking for Bronze Found Gold

At First, I was confused about how this cultivation and insect use is going to work but the explanations are very clear just keywords are confusing so Gu = Is an Insect or a Relic that has special powers this is probably an important thing any reader needs to know. Then the cultivation system works well with it. It is kind of similar to Tales of Demons and Gods spiritual demon beasts. I am personally a huge fan of Rebirth and getting past knowledge this story uses it very well especially with this Ruthless MC which is also different but it is fun. This Definitely underrated since the author had some setbacks in releasing but it seems he is coming back this is definitely worth reading.

Low budget adaptation

The first chapters are quite good and you get the idea of the original setting and unique story of someone that has lost his world twice and won't stop at anything for his objective (destroying destiny to achieve true freedom and seeking immortality)
B It's a pity that their budget goes down after. But it is still quite nice if read along with the novel

Disgusting MC

This is exclusively for those that like dark stories and can stand or are interested in an evil MC. Be mindful thou that one could consider murdering someone that stands in the way of your goal evil, this MC goes far and beyond that, he'll kill people because he feels like it for no reason or provocation. I can stand and sometimes even like ruthless MCs, pointlessly evil? No thanks and people who read the novel say it just gets worse later.
If that strikes your fancy then by all means, I, couldn't care less for a person like that and think he should just die and rot, maybe that world can be a little cleaner without him in it.

Disgusting & loathsome MC

Author to come up with this disgusting MC & fans who are loving it are mentally ill people.
Author really needs some psychiatric treatment, to come up with this kind of MC.
How can sane person even begin to like such MC is really the question.

MC has no right to complain all that bad things happened to him, he doesn’t even have shred of humanity left.
There is nothing wrong for killing such Disgusting & loathsome existence.
His uncle & aunt were right for treating this disgusting shit the way they treated him.

I completely lost it when, in manhua CH 55 he killed old man & his daughter who were no threat to him & mere mortal hunters. He couldn’t even let them go when he was the wrong in the 1st place trying to snatch hunted prey from old man’s son & even kills him when that hunter stands up for his right, then what the fuck this pure evil have the rights to question those who did evil to him.

He is the damn “Gu master”; instead of hunting for himself he goes to steal others efforts & that of mere mortal hunter’s.

The death of the old man’s daughter is really the beginning of SICKNESS in this story, I just dropped it right there.

It doesn’t matter if manhua is not explaining clearly or not what novel has but no amount of explanation can justify the killing of old man’s daughter. She was no threat to him

No matter what hardships he went through If he is going to be the same evil like others then he has no right to complain nor deserve any sympathy at all.

There is nothing to appreciate in this MC cause pure evil cannot be appreciated at all & those who do with any explanation are somewhat mentally ill.
