Stagnant MC

Read till ch 123

The system and it's concepts of earning income are very interesting. It definitely encourages the loss of money to get bigger gains though earning income isn't forbidden, you do see some profits. But MC is so obsessed with losing money for those big gains that he keeps all the side characters in a loop of constant emotional and mental turmoil. They struggle to succeed while he keeps trying to sabotage their efforts for his own personal gains. At a certain it comes across as him being more a villain but not a very good one, very hard to like the MC. No personal growth after 100 chapters either. When he gets outta hand and starts to be to cruel, the author will step in and have the system warn him, but it happens far to little.

Surprisingly a very entertaining manga about the gaming industry

Read till chapter 40 as of this review

So before i delve into the details about the setting, i have to admit there is little to no plot holes at all in this manga/ series. There are contrivances yes but they are not plot holes.

I really have to commend the author here, he shows a surprisingly good understanding of games and gaming culture, way more than these generic trash VRMMORPG novels that crop up everywhere. He understands numerous concepts of asset flips, monetization, mobile gaming, hell even certain facets about finance.
The author in his very setting displays an understanding that company finances are different from personal finances and that money earned belongs to the company itself not the person. Tho technically here it should belong to the MC since he's the sole owner and should be able to give himself whatever dividends but he doesn't.

Or rather, can't. Because that is a part of the agreement he has with the system.
To be honest, this system itself is less like some magical entity and more like the MC's personal financer or accountant. It gives him loans without any collateral or interest, but with terms attached that he cannot use that money for personal gain and it must be used for the company, he also cannot use it for speculative stuff like the lottery or the stock market.

Once again, hats off to how theres basically no plotholes plus everything is actually reasonable and sensible.
A gem in hiding? definitely. For ones like me that appreciate this bit of attention to detail this is a very, very satisfying read.

Now, onto the plot/ characters. There are certain things lacking which i assume is a disadvantage of the medium itself i.e. manga not giving enough time for nuanced character development. MC has a lot of employees but not everyone gets proper development, especially this assistant of his who definitely should have some values but never even thinks of doubting his decisions, well, accepted that she is his assistant and one of his very conditions for hiring her was that she don't question him so once again that plot thread is tied. But her inner thoughts are definitely lacking here, stuff that you do see for certain other employees.

It should be fairly clear from the summary what type of series this is. The MC tries to do X thing because it will benefit him in the short term, but fate has other plans for him by making him fail in doing X but instead accomplish Y which is much better for him in the long term.
He fails not entirely because of luck but because of his own decisions that he made, and, once again props to the author the MC even does introspection to realize that he was the one who caused his own plan to fail in the first place, which makes him try to correct it and once again fail spectacularly.

Insert meme Dj Khaled Suffering from success.

TLDR: A Very, very entertaining series from an author that definitely has a gaming background or has done extensive research. Theres little to no plot holes and everything lines up in a satisfying way making you wonder just how next is the protagonist going to fail (succeed)
9 out of 10
tbh, i dont even know why i didn't give it a 10. Maybe cause the character development for the side characters is severely lacking

For other similar series theres Zai Bu Si Wo Jiu Zhen Wu Di Le (If I Don't Die Soon, I'll Really Become Invincible!) very similar themes but different execution and setting.
I really enjoyed these both
