Ten Count

Description

Corporate secretary Shirotani suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder. One day he meets Kurose, a therapist who offers to take him through a ten-step program to cure him of his compulsion. As the two go through each of the ten steps, Shirotani 's attraction to his counselor grows.

Why so many people seem to find the S&M/Domination undertones disappointing? It's the best twist I've seen in a yaoi manga in a very long time. I dropped this manga once, when it was still starting to get published, I thought it was boring as hell and cliche. Then BAM Kurose is no longer the stereotypical "nice" seme helping this guy overcome his mysophobia, but he's got a dark side to him and we slowly get a glimpse of it until (holycrapsohot) he makes a mess out of Shirotani's feelings and body and he just loves toying with him, in a loving way. I'm glad I decided to give it another try since it turned out to be completely different from the first few chapters, in a GOOD way!

This manga wow. I couldn't stop reading, it really drew me in. I've seen the whole OCD I hate germs concept many times, and they didn't portray it will in my opinion. But sensei gave Shirotani a specific personality and stuck with it, even as Shirotani's character grew and changed there was always that one action that made me say "ahh he still has a long way to go". And the art was perfect! I anticipate more.

Beautifull art. good plot. Good characters. And provides a range of emotions, really. Some times is cute, others is sad, it also has its funny moments. But most of the times the characters oscilate between sexyness and pityfullness. They are bothe just so messed up...

No, i dont mean that as s pun but now that ibthink about it ... Hahaha!

Anyways, i just want too frel something for the main characters. I kkiw that uke has ocd and the seme are displaying his own side of the crazy card but the premise is really good! I want more! I hope the author will be able to delover- i wont drop this the art is too giid abd as i said i like the ocd concept cause mental disorders aside from suicidal tendencies are so rarely talked about in manga.

This manga seems to be really good, i mean is kind of different the mysophobia topic.
And it's pretty funny too, without mention that i'm in love with Rihito-san's drawing, so it's a great plus!
I'm really looking forward for this manga!!

The whole thing makes me feel anxious. What others have said about the story taking a wrong turn is correct for me. It feels like some weird torture play in the least sexy way possible. I feel terrible for Shirotani the whole time. My skin is absolutely crawling for him because Kurose is just awful and disrespectful. He really goes out of his way to do things which cross the line and abuse his partner and I have never been a fan of that(in manga or otherwise).

...up until Kurose molests his crush just out of the blue. Huuh? Is that where we're going now? It's not like I wouldn't enjoy this direction if it were written better--I like dark and edgy stuff, but Kurose hardly has a personality.

I used to like the manga, was a bit excited for an anime, and I liked the couples because they’re voiced by my favorite seiyuus. I didn’t read all chapters and didn’t listen to all drama cds, but I heard how overrated it was.
However, I want to give out huge criticisms. The characters usually have stoic expressions which bored me. The series is too fcking long, causing longer buildups (no wonder why it may be popular). The sex scenes are rather upsetting, offensive, and anxious than erotic to see. I even hate that Kurose is shirtless while Shirotani is naked during their sex scenes bc it’s unfair and I want to see his naked legs and ass so fcking bad! 😡 While I hardly agree with those liking the series (except kurosu yuuki who I strongly disagree), I have to side more with those arguing against it. The art is good, but the plot should’ve changed for better than this bad.
