Description
[From Decadence]
Once you fall for someone, you can't stop the love. A strange encounter spurs the meeting of Amakusa Ryou, a high spec businessman who's loose with women, and his high school sister's best friend, Arima Ichika. From there, he falls madly in love. On the one hand, he approaches her with almost too straight-forward methods, while she responds simply disgusted, insulting him without hesitation...and he takes it as her way of showing love. This is a romantic comedy about a twisted elite employee and a normal otaku high school girl.

There should be about 56 chapters in total, but as of writing this, there are 55 chapters translated, and wow. This manga is mediocre at best.
This manga originally had a somewhat original premise: young high school girl doesn't fall for the sweet words of a man 10 years her senior, turns out the man is kind of a perv/masochist and the manga follows his pursuit for her love. Similar to Takane and Hana which, imo, much better manga on all accounts.
Totally agree on the pacing issue brought up by @5chickens wow, it really doesn't feel like very much happens in this manga at all. The chapters can be short and often just, uneventful? It doesn't help that the manga doesn't do anything original in the slightest. Like, wow, omigosh, who would've expected that each of the protags would be involved in a love triangle with a suitor who is much better suited for them? What? The main characters are arbitrarily attracted to each other because the plot dictates it? Alright then.
Another big thing, major spoilers:
This is considered a josei, but wow, it really doesn't feel that way at all. There's no depth to this story. You have a very taboo topic, large age gap, and everyone just totally ignores it in the story. Glosses over that like a laminator. The story can't seem to decide whether to focus on comedy or romance more. Just when you think it's trying to be more comical, they insert weird drama that doesn't make sense, so you end up thinking, wait, are they trying to make the plot more romance focused? Is that why they have absolutely no development in their relationship at all? Bad on both accounts! Unless you've never read a good romance manga in your life, I'd skip this one. Not worth the time.

Can't believe nobody else has complained about this yet, but the pacing is god awful. Every chapter manages to feel like nothing was accomplished. Yes, things are technically happening (extremely slowly), but the way the chapters are broken up will convince you otherwise. Reading this makes me feel like my life is draining away.
love the ML not because of his looks. But more his love for the FL.
Love it. Super funny and sweet. Managed to get my husband to watch the anime (which follows the manga pretty closely) and he loves it too.

the ML has been noticing the change towards him from the FL and got scared because of his past as he has never been in a healthy relationship and has always been a jerk. He feared he could not be good enough for her and has been avoiding her. His friend got him a good lecture and it seems both ML and FL are ready to give their all. Let’s just hope they have a proper and good conversation

she confessed to him yes, but he rejected her. He mentioned his non corresponded love and about how young the FL was. The lady told him that she wouldn’t give up and would be the most natural and better seen to society if they dated, which he painfully considered but realized that no matter how hard he tried he loved the FL. He rejected her and was honest and she told him that probably the reason that she fell for him was because of the change in personality he had since meeting the FL. And now the lady supports him and told him to try his best

& Ryou does not have a change of heart. Ichika has finally realized/acknowledged her feelings & their friends are helping the progression. Still looks like it could potentially be a while, though I hope they just sit down & have a frank discussion at this point.

I would say that the reason for the romance is quite cliche, that is the male lead who presumably a womanizer and was not turned down before now gets rejected by the female lead.
I was somehow kinda into the female lead in the beginning, she is quite different, still acting hysterically but seems to stand her ground. The male lead is an obssessive stalker who would not take no for an answer and probably has been arrested in real life for predatory behaviours towards an underage. But this is a shoujo so he kinda gets away easily by his good look, which suggests the right attitude for these types of romance: read it and forget it. Viewer discretion though.

it has a nice female lead with guts and that bastard. Im not even mad about the age gap cause I kinda like it. but this has 43 chapters and only 16 were translated to english (like really) every chapters has less than 20 pages.

...only if you put it in a serious perspective. This manga is an obvious comedy, so take it as it is and don't take it seriously. There are so many other worse shoujo manga that is actually targeted at younger people that sends perhaps more worse messages than this. Also this is a Josei, so I would assume that younger readers wouldn't even pick this up. As a vet shoujo reader I like it. It's a bit fresh and definitely hilarious. A nice quick light read~

If what you said is true, I hope that the female lead chooses someone else, like that certain classmate (which I don't think will happen cuz he's the main lead).
