Psych House is a very chill series, somewhat reminding me of Yotsuba! because of the art (and, btw, the author and their assistants did a pretty good job on it, especially on the backgrounds, I feel like it's one of the prettiest looking Weekly Shonen Jump series I have read in the past 10 years) and the fact it didn't have too much conflict. Except, maybe, that's also why it didn't last longer on WSJ 🙁.

I personally don't think a fiction series should depend on having too much conflict, but when you are in a magazine where it is currently dominated by trends like exorcists and/or shonen battles (and I mean, there's already a series in there, as of 2024, about a psychic... it's a gag/comedy, although Psych House seemed to have been the complete opposite of that), it was a matter of time that it would have been cancelled if it didn't attract too much readership (it had its fans, as I was reading Mangaplus' comments... but that doesn't reflect too much in sales -ie this isn't physically available outside Japan- and while I give its praise, I am also one that tends to like niche stuff). If only it could have found its place in Jump+ or perhaps other magazine of a different demography, though...
