Then, entered Yoshinari Hiromu, a Japanese soldier from low social class & a former classmate, who was assigned as his Lieutenant to monitor his activities by the Japanese Imperial General Headquarters. Despite their differences, the two forged an unlikely friendship as they navigated the treacherous political divide between their two countries amidst the intensifying war.
