On the fence

This story has it good points and it’s bad ones, along with some questionable choices (the MC running around like a naked pervert for example).
But the rl serial killer stalking the games rankers is too much.
Not sure I’ll bother continuing this series.

Great comedy series

Wonderful series that got me laughing out loud every 2 or 3 chapters, the protagonist is basically making a "Let me solo her" speedrun of a Full-Dive VR. The action scenes are epic but it takes some time until he finds competent challegens because he has a lot of knowledge and experience from his past live.

The dramatic tension, I think, is a really good slow burn, introducing characters and taking its time to get to known them and evolved them. Contrasting the point of view of a reclusive 35 years old, with the more ongoing popular life style that now MC has.

And is particularly great that neither the mangaka nor the protagonist forget that he is a lot older and has a lot more life experience in particular niches. He´s labeled as a pervert but even with a lot of teenagers and young women throwing themselves to him... he just can´t see them as a potential sex partner, he is just to mature... and prefers milfs

It's Not That Bad, Don't be Fooled by Other Comments

The other comments completely trash it but they're from a long time ago, so here's an updated rating:
It's just a fun read. It's not something for people who really want to get into a manga. The plot isn't bad and here's my reply to some complaints(Minor spoiler at the 1st one and somewhat major on 4th one):
"Why doesn't he work?" He's a loser in his first life. No confidence, probably made it only past high school, and his debt is most likely not that small. So, with no work experience, he just plays, hoping he can pay back the money(Not to mention that the debtors actually force people to play the game to earn back money).
"Why are people scared of dying in the game?" In VR games like this, you can get robbed, lose experience points, and lose loot if you were hunting a monster/boss. Considering, after the snap back to the past, the game is popular. losing items or experience is detrimental.
"Why does he not do something different?" This is actually just braindead. You have a literal duck that lays golden eggs in front of you, and you ask "Why don't you cook it?"
"How come the MC got to go back to the past when he's not that great?" ||**Spoiler Alert****Spoiler Alert**|| Because he lived life as a loser and got taken advantage of many times, got lost into debt and his greed. When he gets back, he even helps someone that's in a bad place. He effects history and creates 2 new legendary characters. I'm guessing it's what he does in his 2nd time that redeems his past self and allows for a new life.
And the last one to answer; "How would that sword even sell?" I'm guessing that the game isn't completely dead, and a +7 or +8 would still go for a really high amount. Also, as I said in the first reason, the debtors make him play(future chap shows the debtors forcing people in the 2nd life), meaning that he was probably playing for a long time to pay back the loan.
It's not a GREAT read, but a decent one.

Unrealistic

The manga is basen in a game world, he is playing a game at home in a pod and so is everyone else. So if he's at home and so is everyone else tell my why the people playing the game are afraid of the main character... as if dying in a game has any real life consequences... its also a very old game at the beginning before he goes back in time. For some reason even though the game is dead as the author says you can still sell items at the value of an apartment... that's the real fantasy right there. it's just overall a bad game world where logic is non-existent and therefor the manga is bad.

If you're a gamer you'll hate it, if you've never played an MMO game you'll have an average time reading it.

another vr game obsessed author

after I read this comment on another series it really made me remember about this:

"The MC is using the game as a way to get rich (which is a pretty stupid gamble). Why doesn't he work? When he needed money so badly, he spent all his time playing video games. This stupid MC actually spent a year (inths case 15 years) training to play a video game. What the actual fuck.

During the first few chapters where the manhwa is trying so hard to make you feel bad for the MC and the debt, I just couldn't help but laugh. The plot is just so fucking dumb. It's like the author spent 5 minutes coming up with it and didn't think about it ever again.

It's easier to digest if you just forget all about the debt situation and pretend it's not supposed to be a video game. At least then you have a reason why all these adults are acting like the game is their whole life."

Another VR game player that goes to the past.

Really? the second life of a waste, that after 15 years playing a game non stop doesn't even have a +7 sword, is riddled with debts and he's supposed to sell his sword to who knows who since there are no more players in the game. Hi miraculously gets a +8 and throws it down the drain in a 0.000000012% chance gamble and apparently dies (not clear).
Oh goodie, god's such a good kinded fella that he gives this fellow a second life... it used to be great figures or people that suffered great injustices or people that had what it took to change history that got a second shot, now it happens to guys playing video games... how lame is that? And there are so many similar manhwas too...
Well ok... the what does this guy do with this new chance to life you ask? Make money with his knowledge? try a new thing? get a woman? travel? Of course not, it's obviously playing the game again, what did you expect, he's a cheat player who know all secrets and the future after all and he probably somehow even remembers the date of each update and expansion too, as if that makes sense.
When by ch4 the MC started to go around naked in the city for no reason, my expectations hit rock buttom.
