Part/s I liked:

At first the plot sounded weird but by the time I read the entire series, I thought that it's like the fictional version of love knows no bounds. So it got me thinking, "yeah, what about you travel back in time to find your soul mate? And oh, what if it's an animal, like, a real animal?". In that sense, the plot became a strong point.
Character design. I like the design for the teacher and the glasses boy. The characters have distinctive qualities as well, but also shares one big characteristic that makes the readers think of who "the one" is.
The mystery. Like any other character reveal plot twists, you have to keep an eye on every tiny detail. The one who is the least suspicious is always the one who end up being the suspect. So, as Mito gets closer to finding out who her beloved is, the characters just started showing signs of being "involved". But looking back, "that one guy" is actually the only one who doesn't seem to have direct connection to the past.

The story has its own reasonable pace despite seeming that the character is in a hurry to find that someone.

The revelation. Two words: dramatic, effective. The big revelation kinda implies that Mito already had a clue on who her mysterious guy is. Also, there was a foreshadowing part in the manga that I noticed as if the answer was staring back at me. TIP:

Chapter 1, the red string of fate. Look closely where it ends.

Part/s I didn't like:

Lack of romance with the guy. Of course! She wasn't interested in him in the first place. The only romantic scenes she had with him was with his past. While I was satisfied with the ending and

the time skip , I felt like there was a lack of romantic aspect between them. Sure, it was implied that Mito developed stronger feelings for him in the present between the revelation and [spoiler]the time skip[spoiler], but I can't feel anything on the supposedly development on their relationship. I wished there was another chapter dedicated to that. There was even an epilogue but for me, it isn't enough.

Primitive Boyfriend is one of those manga you think will either be hilarious or utterly silly, and it ends up being an amazing read. I laughed, I cried, I fell in love. I hope more people give this great story a try! Totally recommended.

This series was really interesting. The main character is sent back through time to meet the previous incarnations of her destined lover - all the way back to prehistoric versions of humanity.
I really enjoyed her travels and the romances she had in these ancient eras, but because all of the storylines in the ancient times were so interesting, it kind of made the story in the MC's modern day boring in comparison. None of the romance interests in the modern day could compare with the ones she was meeting in the past, so it took away from the excitement. Her 'end game', if you will, was going to be a let down, I knew.
And yeah, it really was.
