Wholesome read

After spoiling myself to the ending. I must say this is a wholesome manga. Despite the weird premise, the ending is how things should be. Maybe it's because I've been reading too many weird stuff of late but I find it refreshing reading a story that is grounded and doesn't develop into the weird or wacky.

For people that are turned off by the premise, give this a shot if you like wholesome stories. LIke the previous reviews, it's not so much about forbidden relationship between the huge age gap but more about a dead loved one returning into the lives of a widower and a half-orphan.

Like what the other guy say "this isnt what it looks like officer"

I also want to emphasise something, go into the mindset that people should not dwell in the past despite how much pain it caused them, and they should continue to look forward. Having this mindset helped me cope a bit with this manga in certain parts.

Thia manga is a pure joy to read, its funny and humorous, at moments they drop things which i honestly find amazing. Like the other dude said, it aint really focused on the age gap romance, but rather the obstacles and circumstances that these character face

I must say you should read it to fully understand what i mean, this is by far one of the more memorable manga ive read

Lastly

I somewhat disliked how Takae left her body as soon as she saw those guys do a marraige proposal. She spent like 16 years with this man, why did she not doubt him actually doing that? Another thing is I really wished Moriya and Keisuke did get together. I was really hoping they would because she was in love with him. But only to just fake it out, then in the next 5 years, she marries someone and he doesnt have a ring. For a group of people who all went through something as traumatic as this, you would think that them marrying is the most likely the conclusion. Regardless, those two part made me sad

However, overall the manga is a fantastic story, this is truly worth 10/10 rating

I honestly would not be surprised if this got an anime

Yeah, I was pretty alarmed the first time I read the title, but it also made me curious, too. "With such provoking title, surely the author was confident enough to deliver a story to justify it," was what I thought.

And I was right. Although I have to admit, the first few chapters made me question about how the story would go, with how, uh... worrying the interactions between the wife (now an elementary schooler) and the husband (an old dude) were. But I'm glad it didn't go that much into that direction.

Instead, it takes a more serious turn. The story is less about the romance of a couple with apparent age gap. It's more about yearning for each other despite circumstances and obstacles. Emphasis on circumstances and obstacles, because the wife now has a new life, new home, new family, and new predicament. The life between the former couple will never be the same anymore.

So far, the story has progressed quite nicely. Definitely read this if you can tolerate some melodrama and psychological stuff.

A well-rounded, unique and sensible work (and definitely no lolicon)

Thank you Murata Yayuu-sensei and thank you to all the scanlators who had worked on this since the very beginning. I read it since the very beginning too! Can't believe it's been five years. I'm grateful to have come cross this work because of the isekai genre.

At first, it was amusing and entertaining. But towards the latter half, this work truly shines in its category and for its target readers. I don't think I've read a work prior to this one that focuses on loss and grief. The author might make it look simple. But in reality, if I were to hit with these scenarios and decision-makings, I'd face dead-ends. I'm thankful for the supportive and concentrated cast. I feel that many in the storyline is kind of... fall in to place perfectly. In reality, that might not be the case. Still, I'm glad, because this is a source of guide and help.

I look forward to the author's next works. He really deserves a big, big break finishing this! And thank you again to all the scanlators! So, so much.

Interesting and original

This is pretty interesting and original. However, I hope is doesn’t go longer than 2 - 4 volumes. Mainly because, where can this relationship really go? There is like a huge age difference.of probably 40 - 45 years. If the author try’s to make this manga go on to long, it will get repetitious and loose it’s appeal. The male lead is living in lala land.

Last 20 chapters were a pain in the ass to go through, because you know exactly how it's gonna end, but you keep hoping for something else.
