Basically, after way too many chapters, the MC's powers are nerfed for the sake of being convenient to the plot and he still isn't dating, never mind married, to the female love interest.

There's slow burn and then there's insulting the reader. This story, as much as I first liked it, is the latter, and that's unacceptable.

A decent humorous story

It's got decent humor and moves along at a decent, if a bit slow, pace. I wouldn't say it's the greatest novel around, but it's an enjoyable read. I would not advise reading it if you're just looking for an OP MC to beat up the bad guys, as there's not a ton of combat, the most so far (chapter 14) being chapters 13-14. I also have to say that the combat itself is fairly sub-par, the author is bad at showing the fight, rather than just telling us what happens. That being said, I don't feel the combat is supposed to be a major part of this novel and the author seems much better at showing the relationships between the characters than the combat.

Not an OP MC story

This is a laid back romance story between a human reincarnated as a demon and a noble lady. Don't expect incredible action or a fast pace plot. The characters have 'chuunibyou' fantasy abilities, but the author uses them as a humorous contrast to the relatively normal plot. This is a cute series about a budding romance. It isn't particularly exceptional, but if you're not expecting something like arifutera you may enjoy it.

Also, German and Japanese people are pretty aware of the atrocities of world war 2 and developed a strong aversion to some aggressive/militaristic views because of them.

This light novel is too... light. It's like there is little substance. Setting is nice, I like it. But the way it's presented, it's just too simple and too hard to believe or get into. Also, MC acts/thinks really unrealistically, hard to stomach that. Not my cup of tea, this is way too shallow.

tbh i wouldn't be surprised if the author isn't even Japanese but just knows the language. at one point he says that he is worried about bad luck because a cat-eared person with black fur crossed his path.
if he was truly a Japanese person he would know that black cats are considered good luck in japan. not to mention the MC's name is extremely john doe-ish and the name doesn't even sound like it was made up by a japanese person and more like a foreigner looked up japanese names and said "oh these two names sound good together so ill just go with it".

Basically a Chuunibyou fantasy that I think was written by a 14-year-old. Nothing here stands out. The romance is haphazard, the exposition is half-assed, the story is very rushed and the characters are cardboard caricatures. Don't waste your time.

This series seem like one of those really kick back and enjoy a little laid back life of an OP main character that just wants to go out with a girl.

Author bro, Japanese are famous for taking millions of POW. A lot of them, died in foreign countries since they work all of their POW to their death. How about Nanking Massacre for the alternative? You know raping and killing civilians. Heck, the Japanese were buddies with Hitler. That was pretty... fudge up.

No, I don't hate the Japanese. It just pisses me off when the Author, either lack of history lesson, or pure self righteousness, trying to pull this kind of stunt. So yeah, if you wanna give a moral high ground for your MC, you need to do a better job.

Or maybe don't.

Damn the moral high ground.

Just be true to your writing.

Took me a full 30 minutes to read the whole volume 1. Still think it was a waste of my time. MC with no backbone, cliche stock characters (only worse from usual), slow moving and almost non-existent plot, recycled world, what else, oh yeah, just plain bad writing.

Dropped.
