Description
Fubuki, a man with silver hair and black eyebrows, is somewhat of an expert at taking care of people's monster problems, for a price of course. Yoru is a strange orphan girl who runs across one of his fights with a demon cat and insists on becoming his student. The two of them make an amazing team, whether they're fighting monsters or (as happens more often than Yoru would like) running from them!

No, it's not "quite normal"

The weirdness do not disappear, instead, I find it pretty interesting, strange and unexpected. The main tone is not action, it's kind of laid back but not dragging, the story is compact.

Too bad it's only 2 volumns. I would love to read more of this.

Good but rushed.

This was the first published manga by the genius Mizukami Satoshi (mangaka of works of art like Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer). It's remarkable how good he was at writing and plotting even when starting out (for instance, compare this story to the first chapters of One Piece - the latter manga did *not* start with good art).

It's a well-told story that's self-contained to just two volumes. However, halfway through, some plot points get dropped, and the story rushes towards its finale. It seems the mangaka would have needed another 5-10 chapters to truly tell the story they wanted to tell.

So I can't give this give story full marks. However, I'm still happy to have read it - it provided an interesting perspective on how this mangaka started out.

A story about a sennin's journey to live his life, meeting a bunch of people along the way & facing his own problem and past.. A really good & funny story. Certainly recommend to those that prefer light-hearted but a bit of adventur-ish kind of story.

Kudos to the scanlator..

The eccentric mangaka does a quite normal manga this time

I know Mizukami Satoshi for his numerous weird fictions, but this manga has quite a normal, non-eccentric taste. Still, the plot is good enough and written very nicely although having only two volumes. If you're an avid Mizukami Satoshi fan, don't expect his weird tones to appear in this one; instead, read it as if you're reading another action manga.
