Delinquent manga. Unbelievably funny, with believable characters and situations. Words fail me here, because I can't fully grasp what it is that makes this manga great. Is it Mitsuhitashi's utter lack of restraint and regret when he comes to playing pranks and executing revenges? Maybe, but this is hilarious, a real feel-good manga in the end.

Even though all of the jokes are essentially the same, they never ever get old.
I'm ALWAYS laughing after every chapter. KKOW was my cure to a bad day.
Beautiful and enjoyable comedy/action mix with both longer arcs and shorter one chapter stories. Wish there was more to this series (yes, even after 350+ chapters I still want more)

Don't let the art steer you away from this manga!

i thought this manga was going to be boring but i was so wrong. The plot is so hilarious. The main character is hilarious and so are other characters. The art turns away manga people but please please give it a try because this manga is so funny and awesome. The art gets way better then the first couple of chapters so dont worry. I gave this a 9/10 because the ending was unsatisfying. All in all read this manga and get ready to laugh your butt off.Oh yeah btw there is a romance tag for this series which shouldnt be there because there is only a tiny tiny tiny little romance in the series.

THe author managed to "ruin" his manga within 2 chapters. Of course I mean the last ones. In other words the ending sucked.
However the rest of the manga is great : you get a lot of funny moments, a lot of badass moments and a lot of awesome moments. Except for Itou's girl, every character has a real personnality, and they are all great except for one or two vilains.
Another great point is how Mitsuhashi and Itou are by no means invincible and immortal. They are not like Onizuka of GTO for example. They run, they hide, they can't deal with too many ennemies... They're strong, but in a believable way.
If the romance part attracted you however, give it up. You won't get anything like that, it is nearly non-existent.

Anyway I highly recommend it. I didn't give it a 10 because of the ending. But that still leaves you with 364 chapters, and something like 95% of them are great. That's it. 9.5 it is then smile

T_T I wouldnt mind read this manga thousand times later after it's scanlated completely. hilarious gag, awesome story plot, and very good for those who're into an enjoyable and entertaining story of daily life. don't bother the art, it's definitely classic but it'll worth your time.

WARNING: This comment may have spoilers.

Kyou Kara Ore Wa!! is the story of two boys, Mitsuhashi and Itou. They have both decided to switch schools and that from that day onward, they would be delinquents.

In the first few volumes, we get an idea of the characters we will get to know in the manga. The first main character, Mitsuhashi, is a conceited guy who will use any means necessary to win. This includes using tricks, pranks, weapons, and even using other people. However, he's no pushover, he has incredible speed and is quite intelligent and uses these things to his advantage. Our second Main Character is Itou, a complete opposite of Mitsuhashi. He's a nice guy who only fights for justice, protecting the weak and to help others, however he is quite naive. In fights, Itou fights fairly and because of this he loses most of his fights due to the opponent using unfair means to win. Itou lacks speed, but makes up for it with brute strength, being able to take a beating but still keep going. Our side characters grow but there are only four important side characters to the whole story: Imai, Tanigawa, Riko and Nakano. Imai and Tanigawa are from beni high, Imai is like a gorilla in terms of strength and is quite tall, however he's an idiot. Tanigawa is the opposite, small and weak like a monkey but is intelligent. Riko is a girl Mitsuhashi meets and later befriends, she runs a dojo with her father and later begins to fall for Mitsuhashi. Nakano is best described in a few words: the strong silent type.

Now then, the plot is kinda everywhere in this manga, but it does have one. In the first few volumes, it comes off as episodic and gag filled, but eventually starts to have storylines and arcs of sorts. The manga mostly follows the format of doing a few episodic gag chapters, major story arc, flashback of sorts and then closure for the arc. Then the cycle repeats. Most of the story arcs are about rivals from other schools trying to give Mitsuhashi and Itou trouble, or one of the side characters being in trouble and needing help.

Character development does happen, the best example being Imai and Tanigawa. Imai in the beginning was nothing but an idiot who fought for the sake of fighting. However near the end he has a goal for what he wants to do in life and why he's fighting. Tanigawa was known as just a weakling who followed Imai and at one point admits that he was weak and nothing would change that. But due to certain events, Tanigawa mans up and eventually proves to everyone he is just as strong as even Itou or Mitsuhashi.

Overall, I felt Kyou Kara Ore Wa!! was great, it had everything you want in a comedy action manga about delinquents. It had gags, story and development and I would gladly recommend this to anyone.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Rather funny but not hilarious most of the time. Angel Densetsu for example is one I consider better in the same kind of genre. There's no character development at all basically. The romantic plot with Riko never gets any deeper which is a shame, imo.

But it's funny... And exciting. I recommend.

This is an awesome manga, never gets old and the entertainment value is top notch. The art is old school, but that just adds to the hilariousness. Highly recommended for anyone looking for some laughs and light entertainment.
