it's a great example of yaoi: yama nashi, ochi nashi, imi nashi (no climax, no point, no meaning).
Also, they have sex in the manga, though nothing overly explicit, but still, sex is shown, not just implied, so shouldn't this one be classified as yaoi per definition?
But seriously, what is the point of this manga? The story makes absolutely no sense:
- if Kai is just an NPC, he shouldn't have his own feelings/thoughts, but only scripted dialogues
- if the Hero goes to Heaven all the time, he dies, why can't he go back after the final boss? just kill yourself, and tell your healer not to revive you anymore and boom, problem solved!
- also, what's that one panel, where it shows the actual player with a controller, who plays as the hero character??? that implies that even the hero is not an individual, but a mere video game character controlled by a real person, so how can he fall in love??? Makes absolutely zero sense, and it annoyed the hell outta me!
This is a prime example of bad fictional world building, when even you, as an author can't make your own world's rules to make sense.
The characters don't have any depth, at all. The art is kinda OK, not my cup of tea, but it's cute sometimes (And don't get fooled by the gorgeous cover art! The actual manga is faaaaaar from that level.)
Overall, it's pretty bad, I can't recommend this one to anyone. If you need good shounen ai, there's a bunch of them, but this manga ain't one of those.
