So, the art and characters are reeeaally cute. Especially the golem's activities in the background who's just filled with positivity. The backgrounds often have little things added that probably weren't in the books and make it cute, like a random baby sleeping in a carriage. I also like how the cover pages have these cute little monsters just chilling with the MCs. Jokes thrown in to make us smile.
Story-wise it's decent enough. It's very iyashikei-like, as we follow their laid-back life. Unfortunately this is set up by the MC being overpowered and the magic system being pretty vague (maybe it's more detailed in the book?) so her power feels extra unearned, even if we're told she spent a week learning a skill or something.
My biggest criticism is the 'developing village' arc, which goes for about 4 chapters, and has too much fawning over how OP/capable/mature/pretty (ew) the MC is. Fortunately we're out of that arc, now.
There's no larger story arc (yet) as we're still in the beginner stage of the isekai, it feels like. Maybe there never will be, that's possible, too. Though I'm guessing we're only up to the second LN, and it's not uncommon for wider plot to be introduced in book 3 or so.
