This is one of that rare kind of manga that inserts some weird, kinda-icky, very private aspect of life into the standard, polite high-school manga setting. The resulting incongruous juxtaposition makes for lots of good laughs. A surprising amount of humor is developed just from these characters' taking this usually-minor affliction totally seriously. It may seem just weird too you if you've never had hemorrhoids, though.

But take the word of an habitual user of a cushion with a hole in the middle of it, if you've had them you'll know what a literal pain in the butt they can be. And naturally, they're so embarassing they have to be kept secret. But these characters at last have hemo-friends they can share their troubles with.

This is a good manga... above average if I must say. The plot, art, and character are great. It's just that this manga somehow can't get a chance to shine, maybe due to the title or the long release...
In brief, believe me, despite the title and the 'unique' review, give it a try...

This manga is surprisingly good despite the fact that the story revolves around a boy's hemorrhoids (BTW, whoever capitalized hemorrhoids in the description needs to study English a bit more, especially proper nouns lol). Not only is this series quite humorous, it has a educational factor along with it. As somebody who has had hemorrhoids in the past, it does bring about painful memories. My only issue is that he often gets hit on the ass by somebody on purpose and does nothing about it (most people don't know about the hemorrhoids though). **NOT A SPOILER** For instance, he gets a knee to the ass in chapter 4 by his boss. Not only can that be construed as sexual harassment (people at the restaurant couldn't have missed it, nor his co-workers or cameras), but it's also assault. Personally, I would have turned around, grabbed the bitch by the neck and pushed her face into the fryer. I was hit in the ass once at school by an upper classman when I had hemorrhoids and instantly saw red. The kid wasn't my friend, so I punched him in the stomach as hard as I could and kicked his face so many times his blood ruined my shoes and I, obviously, went to jail. I hate how most main characters in a manga are pseudo-pacifists or pushovers. I'm sure the pros and cons I've made for this manga differ greatly from those that most other people would make, so I'll just leave it at that. This series is unique and funny. It's definitely worth a read if you're tired of all the cliche, generic manga out there that's basically the same story over and over with slightly different details.
