Samdol, a woodcutter known for his strange bad luck — his clothes always end up torn — is saving money to buy an expensive silk outfit said to never rip.
One day, while working in the forest, he rescues a deer being chased by a hunter.
As a token of gratitude, the deer leads him to a mysterious hidden pond — the secret place where celestial fairies bathe.
After an unexpected accident, the fairies hurriedly return to the heavens, leaving behind only one of them, Danhwa, who has lost her celestial robe and can’t go back.
With no other choice, Danhwa ends up staying at the woodcutter’s house.
However, to make matters worse, she enters the “mating season that comes to celestial fairies once a year” and begins to throw herself at Samdol.
And so begins a cohabitation filled with misunderstandings, magic, and situations as amusing as they are dangerous.
