Shameless fanservice for monstergirl fetishists.

And I am not embarrassed (at least not too much bigrazz ) to admit I am one of those people. The plot so far is standard fare for such a setting. The different monster girls are the stars of the show and this manga is basically a showcase medium for them. This is deffinitely one of those "guilty pleasures" series.

EDIT: Another good thing I find with this manga is the relaxing effect it has on me. Quite a number of other manga on my list have turned into extremely frustrating series of mood whiplashes/ incompetent "heroes"/cliffhanger conga lines/ deus ex machina endings/ overall crappery. With this manga it's all just a pleasant stroll through fanservice and comedy lane with a simple storyline that get's interesting once in a while.

100% Fanservice

There is no real plot, there is no real comedy. The exposition is something that is so cliche in manga - a simple boy has a supernatural hot girl in his room. As typical of manga, the girl is aggressive, and the guy is reserved.

This is just a fanservice manga, nothing more as of chapter 4.

We'll see if they actually introduce interesting characters that say more than "darling" and have actual plot.

Don't go looking for something that shouldn't be there in the first place

Really liking this series so far. BUT do not be fooled by the ratings. This manga is basically a big piece of fanservice and you should not go looking for anything else. It's a manga mainly targeted for guys who like Monster Girls. It has many cute moments. It's extremely likable, light-hearted and modest. It never tries to go beyond what it set out to at first, it never tries to be something it isn't.

It doesn't have a complex storyline, deep characters or heavy philosophical themes. And it shouldn't have stuff like that because it isn't that kind of manga. Don't go looking for something that shouldn't be there in the first place and I guarantee you'll be satisfied. If you're looking for a manga staring cute monster girls, with light-hearted humor and cute romantic scenes, look no further.

Well at the first few chapter i would say you typical harem ecchi manga but with monster girl. I think it quite a new intersting thing too. And the art work is good so i would rate this an 7-8. I hope this will have good development

When i read the ratings and the list stats i thought it would be a great series, but it's a total let-down. First two chapters are really lame... art is so/so... plot is retarded(kind of reminds me of that chicken manga Tama Hyori). Third chapter seems a little better i guess... If i read this a couple of years ago, when mangas were new to me, i'd probably like it. But now that i've read good mangas... doesn't attract me. I'd suggest it to people who are new to manga and like ecchi genre to read this...

This is a series I cannot wait for the next chapter to come out biggrin
I love Monster Musume because it is a very unique idea, about the "Cultural Exchange between Species Act", so a guy hosts a lamia (a very pretty one to make it that), and later he hosts a Harpy, who is a clueless and energetic.
Also this has DECENT art, better then what I've read recently.
I hope that this gets an anime adaption! biggrin

Expecting good things

Reminds me of Princess Lucia. Art is good. Chapters didn't fail to make me laugh. Characters are very likable [I especially loved Papi and the Cultural Exchange Co-ordinator. No doubt the co-ordinator's going to make Kurusu's life even more complicated as the series progresses]. Basically, if you like comedy, with a bit of ecchiness thrown in then read this.
